  1. Ticket office opens at 7. I always ride at 6.30 am on sundays. So I should probably go to bed now.
  2. So anyone got any plans for another build day?
  3. 15 pints will make a 2m gat seem jumpable. I've jumped some big gats with my beer goggles on before!!!
  4. That is a SWEET ride.

  12. Gotta love mtbers. I see this kind of thing happening a lot on the trails. Much more than in the rest of society anyway...
  13. J F***in C what a load of bull on this thread. So much of fighting when all everyone wants is to ride their bikes! Who cares how big the wheels are. Are you having fun? Good then carry on riding . Race if you want. Race downhill, its good fun and everyone knows each other. Or don't, I don't give a ****. Do the epic or the argus or beat your mates on your sunday morning loop of tokai. The most importtant thing is to ride. Whatever that means to you.

    Paarl

Its pretty easy. Short and not many large jumps or drops. There are chicken runs round most of the bigger obstacles. It is HOT and dusty there though , so be prepared!
  15. Good price!!! If I'm good all year maybe Santa will...
  16. I would give my left testicle for that frame. 140 mm travel single speed. The ultimate bullet proof play bike. AWESOME! Btw what does the frame cost. Maybe I could sell a kidney or something...
  17. + 5kg since november. Need to lose 18 now to get to goal weight, which is 95!
  18. That fork looks bottomed out. And so does the kid...
  19. Those 3 inch Gazzalodies weighed about 2 kg each! Never could find a frame that would take one on the back...
  20. No bar means you have a puncture. Which happens more on skinny tires with flimsy sidewalls.
  21. Yes but how much money are they making to keep 900 000 items in stock? They probably do more turnover than all the bike shops in sa combined...
  22. Maxxis ardent 2,6 up front and maxxis high roller 2,5 at the back. A bit of rolling resistance but super grippy and the large volume means that you can run lower pressure for way more grip. Both are super tacky though so won't last too long.
  23. In winter I sometimes ride in jeans. Bike fit not applicable
  24. I'm only 34... And I have had my fair share of injuries , but life is too short not to have fun.
  25. After 15 years on the mtb I reckon a bike fitting at a shop would be a waste of time for me. But I ride more tech trails and the fun stuff and not so much dirt roadie style. If pounding out the miles training for your next marathon race is your thing then a bike fit is probably worth it. But if you drop your seatpost on the downhills and spend more time standing than sitting then frame size and stem height/lenght is all you need to worry about. That's my opinion anyway...
