  1. Have to be honest though, last few issue I've read some really good feature articles in Bicycling, namely Neil Gardiner, the 29er shoot out was a bit so so to my tastes, but a good experimentation to try something different. Ride I always enjoy Steve Shapiro's writings, likewise with Andy Ellis in Tread.
  2. Maybe she meant other chick's legs
  3. Awesome news man, get yourself on them trails
  4. Completely so ... ok I may be somewhat biased Was a hit with folk at the World Cup, loved it . . . Favourite overseas mag is Bike!
  5. Ya, did an about turn on voting this eve since I woke up early, decided to go vote instead. Pretty quick and efficient
  6. Will most likely vote in the eve, reckon the polls will be packed in the AM, so I reckon dos in for a change. Take a nice ride to Teak, do a route and ride back, hopefully catch the Giro in the arfie.
  7. Saw it marked in my calendar this weekend, started training right away. Two weeks to fitness, can only hope Ah well, what doesn't kill you .....
  8. Yes I also keep getting this spam, it's not an ANC thing and it's not down to where the ANC are or aren't more likely to win. Annoying people spread **** like this, not all that different from Malema's *** stirring. Will just check my ballot paper and not pay mind to people's electioneering bull, be it some party's or individuals.
  9. Latex gloves, otherwise hand sanitiser before hand.
  10. Quite a cool profile and interview with GM by Gordon Glyn Jones, Mountain Biking UK "Any downhill fan knows Greg Minnaar – he’s been one of the world’s top riders for more than a decade. We join him on his home trails around Pietermaritzburg to see where the legend began..." http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/interview-downhill-racing-star-greg-minnaar-30176/
  11. Reckon this might bring up some interesting discussion, as well as the standard dose of Hub flaming and counter flaming ...
  12. A Monday 'bump'
  13. Hi all, please be on the lookout for the above mentioned bike, it was stolen from a mate's yard in the KensingtonB/Randburg area this morning. As described, it's a Silverback Moda Nine. A 29er full suspension in predominately black and white graphics. Reba fork, ZTR Wheelset, XT Cranks etc...
  14. Really at the end of the day it's it's much ado about nothing. Hope you made the staff or Riaan aware of your feelings as well.
  15. CSA don't have a say on the broadcast, it's upto the local broadcasters to decide if they want to utilise the footage. The event is filmed and broadcast in anycase.
  16. Strong riding from the SA U23s, Rourke Crosser looked to be exceptional today!
  17. Not so sleepy this weekend Incredible scenes and great atmosphere here! As soon as Bardy's tooth pain subsides he'll update www.treadmag.co.za with content later. Additionally follow tweets for random, bizarre, related and semi unrelated feeds @Mr_TREAD @MrsTREAD @BarryMcCallum @dinolloyd @mtbworldcupsa11 MTB ladies are looking rather fine as well, must say
  18. This is the thing, people do this but sitting on the right hand side of the car, more often than not an obstruction will only be seen at the last minute. Road to Hartys is a prime example, people sit on your ass expecting you to move over into the yellow lane, and that's generally well over the speed limit already. Not saying thats the case with this particular incident, just my general experience.
  19. Yeah you're right man, must keep an eye on it.
  20. Yeah man, shot for the wave ski. Making me quite keen to try out some proper open water kayaking at a stage. Anyhow, other than cycling, a bit of running (trail preferably) and some parkour. Used to climb and boulder, but haven't tried that out in a long while.
  21. Could be cholesterol is a factor as well? ... This has made me think twice about doing a cholesterol test as part of a routine checkup, family has a history of it.
  22. Ol Chris Dutton was put in charge of the Paulshof branch recently, top guy. Takes the job at hand seriously and has the maturity to be a professional, no doubt he'll be getting things ship shape there in no time. Maybe even stock some wicker baskets for those skinny tyred bikes.
  23. Had a pair for a few months now, quite like them... comfortable and robust, should last a lifetime just about!
