I am not sure how much social media has impacted forum style websites. However, I was one of first users of facebook after I was invited when it just started and before it was even available on a cellphone. Facebook has changed alot and I have stopped using it altogether. All those extras I hate and it is extremely distracting. I belong to a few forums which are activity related simply because of the focus on an activity and passion from hobbyist to business owner. Hub has been unfortunately drifting away from a forum style website though and this could be why members are declining. All the other forums I belong to has a huge member count and rising.

I have started to use hub less and less because of the type of moderation. There was another thread similar to this one and it disappeared after one post. I hardly check the classifieds anymore either. Tired of seeing 20 ads in a row from a bike shop. If the bike has a website, then I use that website. Dealers also repeat ads almost daily making it hard to find ads that are not commercial related. One would have to use the search function, but I like to browse whats new.

Is it possible to block certain sellers in the classifieds so that I dont see their ads?

I have had various maxxis tyres in the past, and had problems with all of them. I gave Schwalbe, Onza, wtb and Continental a try. I have since stuck to continental De baron, de baron projekt, mountain king, rubber queen/ trail king, de kaiser and de kaiser projekt. I see the now have a new range which is front and rear specific. Unfortunately you can get most of them locally. I end up buying from bike 24 or bike discount. The wtb are also good. I have trail boss as a rear tyre and front on my ht and the grip is surprising. I also have a very aggressive convict as a front tyre.

You can buy from starbikes. I have bought from them before, but was a couple of years ago.

I have wheels on my hardtail built with the alpina spokes. I weigh 105kg. The wheels are holding up now for about 4 years and no problems. Another friend of mine has a set of carbon wheels built with the same spokes on an enduro bike. They are slightly thinner, but they work.

In that kind of muddy conditions, one of those cheap pressure sprayers works wonders when you back at the car. I also tend to have my hydration pack on in these days, more to keep warm, but I have used the water to rinse the mud off on the trail on a few occasions.

This is what happens when you employ the same builder to build trails. Tokai had a good thing going years ago. There are or maybe now there were people who were willing to sacrifice some serious man hours developing those trails, but things have changed. Now even tygerberg are using the same builders.

This is how I feel when friends say they wanna go away for a weekend mtb trip. When I unpack my HT at the trail, then they like where is your dual sus. LOL.

do you still have the bolt that tightens against the towbar? The handle as far as I am aware is made of plastic. So if you have the bolt you could just use that.
