DJR - Fabulous work!!! Really, really good. Fantastic, awe inspiring and a joy to behold, truly. For fittings .. there's a shop down the road from me, in Wynberg, called Les Collectables. Last time I was there they had oodles of brass fittings in their boxes, at reasonable costs.

Finally got a new set of running shoes... First "run" in them was on Tuesday pm, a chilled entry back into things. I've got weird feet in that they're quite wide, and I have a high in-step so finding a good fit in a reasonable shoe was a nightmare. the solution: 12 1/2 UK in 2E. First run was great, but i'm taking it easy. 2 min run, 2 min walk for 30 min. Then a 30 min walk after that. Don't want to go into it too fast. Last time I overdid it, my knee flared up again and was bloody sore.

Booked up already. But yeah, that's what we did last year. Stayed at a BnB in Ceres, shuttled in to the start and had lekker showers etc to greet us back at home base

It's not THAT bad... It's a farm. Expect some whiffage. Stayed there 2 weeks back at the guest house.

No electricity, and hardly any shrubbery but it's early spring in Ceres, so it'll be just perfect ito temp. Camping ground is a field that's normally used for grazing, afaik.
