  1. I had my Samsung S3 returned to me some months ago at Van Gaalens. If that person reads this I'd like to mention them on here
  2. The journos have to sell news and fill space...
  3. Under the saddle
  4. You just made 5 and said little! Me only one...
  5. They're all pretty shallow and when they do gear reviews they only include, say, a quarter of the brands or models so your conclusion is meaningless. I haven't bought one for months, mainly because I can get my fix on the internet... sign of the times. But I guess Tread is the most honest and genuine
  6. Just say provisionly sold until the cash is in hand or in the bank.. easy. Take the other party's number and call them back if the first buyer defaults
  7. There is a rate the buyer system in place, but most people are not using it
  8. I was thinking.. holy Moses
  9. My small Swiss Army knife, the one with a corkscrew and beer bottle opener (also has a knife.. I think!) is permanently attached to my car keyring! But this knife is always in pristine condition as it is always in nearly new condition... reason being is I always forget to remove it on air trips so gets consficated! ;-( Those Sh*ts at the airport are getting rich off our forgetfulness....
  10. And every bridge over the M2 East as well...
  11. Where are they?
  12. Great! I've not spotted those... and of course there's one under William Nicol
  13. Like Hairy said your budget most important... but I wouldn't put too much into that frame, rather look out for a fair priced 26" second hand bike
  14. Bernie did suggest some time back that tracks should have waterspray systems installed, which randomly be turned on to wet the track... needless to say it wasn't adopted. I llked the idea of a circle installed into a straight, which the drivers could go around any way they chose!! That would liven things up a bit
  15. EG. Like the "underpass" under Rustenburg Road...
  16. The NO BJ's sign would be intetesting ...
  17. My mistake, I see those are allowed... so no idea
  18. I think it's a ghetto blaster... so no wine , women, or song...
  19. My old saddle bag with tools weighed 1.1kgs. When I moved them to my Camelbak, I immediately noticed the bike handling better, lighter, more wippy. Think of the dumbell effect of that weight at one of the bike's extremities... No more saddle bags for me
  20. Northern Farm on Sunday, chilly and tinder dry...
  21. According to the signage dogs must be on a leash and as pointed out, in practice, they seldom are, which is actually insane in the parks of the Spruit. What pees me off is that I cycle along using about 1/4M2 of space, whilst 3 or 4 strollers with 4 or 5 unleashed dogs can use up to half an acre! You're under threat from all directions as you pass through the "storm". In Emmerentia Dam I earned my first "Dog Stripes". I was cruising at a fair lick (not a mad pace), when a boxer (dog!) ran (from a considerable distance) straight into my front wheel, launching me instantly into space. Fortunately I de-cleated successfully, went over the bars, and landed ahead of the bike by 4 or 5 meters, in a cloud of dust. Amazingly, I was totally unharmed, and after straightening the handlebars was on my way, after using some fruity language on the dog's owners... But guys and girls, we have to lower the agro level on this our very own piece of freedom.
  22. How about this little handy gadget, good for our current anarchical times!!
  23. This one, cheap easy, robust, can even lock the bike if you want to
  24. Enjoy your Anthem. It will be interesting to see how you like the 27.5....
