  1. Always travel with a spare normal tube just in case. Nice thing is that it seems you don't need to have Schwalbe tyres in order for this to work
  2. You have to be sick or desperate to do something like that
  3. I've already informed my wife that I want a pair for Xmas
  4. +1
  5. Does it mean that you can get up to R3000 per quarter (as opposed to R1500) back if you do enough running AND cycling events?
  6. I WANT!!!!
  7. Haven't seen any action in this thread for awhile Busy building up my own budget version/copy of a Surly Instigator 2.0 http://brimages.bikeboardmedia.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Surly-Bikes-Saddle-Drive-1.jpg Frame: Azonic Steelhead Fork: Manitou Stance 150mm (I think, no labels on it)Rims: NSBikes fundamentals, 32mm wideTyres: Surly Dirt Wizard 26 x 2.75Seatpost: IceLift V8 dropper rest...whatever I have in the parts bin As she stands now (need to get the rear tyre from a friend)

  10. Same here, they usually don't last a day.
  11. Eish, that got me considering making my SS a Monstercross again. May "need" to get a disk fork first though
  12. Now THAT looks nice.
  13. VERY nice bike there Dan. If you don't come right with the barends, I may have some 9 speed that will work on friction mode
  14. Not sure what you mean by shimano compatible crankset. I may have some aero-levers available, will have to check the spares box
  15. If my plan works out, I may have a 36 up for grabs.
  16. Not yet, but have one hanging around at home
  17. That sucks about you AC, I've been off the bike for 8 weeks because of an sternoclavicular dislocation (other side of the collar bone). Doesn't sound nearly as bad as yours, but still can't ly for too long on that shoulder and wake up with a stiff neck most mornings. Hope it heals up fast. Depends on what you consider narrow the ISO width (i.e.bead width) is 19mm which is the same as a ZTR Arch (Not Arch EX). Also are/were those Wierwolfs tubeless (TCS)? Have the WTB Vigilante 2.3 TCS and Beeline 2.2 TCS and they feel great, not a hint of rolling.
  18. I bet you we're probably in the same weight category.
  19. Thanks, what price did you get it for?
  20. They'll BOTH be 3 on 29 November Yes, they were born on the same day. Don't know how many confused looks I get when I mention this to new people, including one response, "From the same litter???
  21. He looks VERY much like Congo, but Congo has only 3 white hairs on his chest, Ming (the Labbie/Mastiff cross) does laps in the pool, Congo on the other hand just goes on the top step (second if it's REALLY hot)
  22. Any chance of a link or pic of the el cheapo gun?
  23. Currently running a WTB Vigilante up front and Beeline in the back (IIRC you have a Trance 27.5?) So far been enjoying them, small sidewall cut on the Beeline (could of happened to any tyre), but a plug sorted that out, no problem. CWC Tygervalley had a few Vigilantes a while back. I can pick one up for you and bring it past sometime (work in Bellville and live in Hout Bay). Else I'm sure droo can sort something out for you too.
