    This is the key point that many people trying to pass on singletrack fail to take into account and thus get frustrated. Also one persons idea of safe is not the same as others.

    Then you just need to find any 39t 104mm BCD chainring.

    What's the BCD of the XTR? You don't necessarily need to use an XTR/Shimano chainring

    You could buy all the parts separately, I doubt that will be released as a production spec

    It is a cheap way of adding a clutch derailleur to a 9 speed drivetrain, i.e not having to having to upgrade fully to 10 speed (derailleur, shifters & cassette) You can actually do it with ANY Shimano 10 speed MTB derailleur, but no real point unless you're adding a clutch or you just happen to have the stuff lying around

    No, the 9 speed SRAM shifter will work with the ZEE RD (with a small mod) as the ratios are close.
