  1. Yoh...Watched La La Land yesterday. Did not expect the emotional rollercoster. The acting, the cinematography...the music....man.... shed some manly tears.
  2. http://i.imgur.com/JnVvYBA.jpg The Cederberge really is something different
  3. Not bad! I'm all for the AL229 LSG, but I'm waiting for an entry level AL229 LSG-BC (boost compatible)
  4. There are many references and throwbacks - some more subtle than others (very unsubtle CG characters...) - to the old (Episode IV + ) movies. Disney did try very hard to accommodate everyone, but in the end the movie was still aimed at the die-hard fans. I did enjoy this one more than Ep VII - A New Hope 2
  5. RIP Jonkershoek trails. Better go give it one last ride before OT.
  6. I used SJSCycles - they were the only shop that I could find with low shipping costs for such a small product. £ 3.32 GBP for the cover. £ 2.50 for the shipping (Royal Mail) = £ 5.82 in total ~ R110 after bank's conversion and commission. No tax / duty.
  7. I waited 7 weeks for this to arrive from the UK: the M8000 "blank" cover. Before... http://i.imgur.com/3dpGRNG.jpg After... http://i.imgur.com/VBiZNoh.jpg The M8000 clamp-shifter still doesn't pair as well as the previous gen' did with the AVID brakes, but now I can atleast move my brake-lever inwards again as per my 10x speed setup. I still don't get (A) why Shimano did not include the blank cover as with the 10-speed shifters and (B) why they couldn't design the shifter without that silly protrusion left on the "blanked"-clamp.
  8. !%$&$ Got any sauce on this?
  9. My deepest condolences Sarge, no one should ever endure such suffering.
  10. Neh? Thats like the exact opposite of the Spaz-WorksTM marketing scheme. Wrong thread?
  11. I can recommend Saucony as a brand, but not necessarily as shoes for you. That's the part that only you could determine yourself. Saucony has a good reputation for making fast shoes - especially the low-drop lightweight types. This includes road, trail, track and XC. The one negative about Saucony (but many other brands are also guilty of this) is that they like to tinker with their designs, so the fit, feel and quality of a shoe often change from model to model. They do tend to be narrow so might want to try half a size up. They have wider sizes in some of the ranges but I haven't seen those in SA. Half sizing could help with this but be careful to not leave too much space up front - you still want the forefoot area to flex in the correct areas. Specialist shops (read not Sportsmans') could help you with this. Coming from the Ghosts, you can try something like Saucony's Triumph (expensive!) or Ride series.
  12. Depends from shoe to shoe. My Salomon trail shoes for example take about 100km to run in (for the stiff sole to loosen up), whereas some of my other shoes (ASICS, Saucony) usually have more flexible soles from the start. Sometimes - if not most of the cases - its just about getting used to the shoe, rather than breaking it in.
  13. Anyone else having login problems this morning? I've reset password. Didn't help. I can login on the web portal but not thr disco app itself.

  15. Everyone has different HR's, based on genetics, fitness, etc., but this is just ridiculous: http://www.movescount.com/members/member16691-Conrad_Stoltz Running 6:00 isn't fast, but doing so with an HR of about 100 bpm or below!?
  16. Anyone here with some experience on Compressport products? The tri guys? This looks like a lekker hardloop pant but I'm struggeling to find any reviews or pics (apart from catalogue pics) on this short...

    lego

Reminds me of a Grade 9 group assignment. We had to make a short film for our Arts & Culture class. So we made a mongrel of Star Wars X Harry Potter mashup in Lego Stop Motion. Was a lot of effort but we had so much fun. Here's the "original trailer" (embarrassment levels through the roof! ) Back then I used a point and shoot mounted on a tri-pod. I had to manually shoot every frame, which meant the camera re-focused and re-adjusted the WB for every frame. I would love to do a short again with the more modern equipment, but I do not have the time, patience, or creativity for such a project anymore.
  18. This. I really like the designs / patterns, but the logo is also putting me off - not that it's an ugly logo, but it's too much "in your face". Maybe something smaller or less subtle will do, but hey, the designers are paid to do that thinking
  19. Can I use it to clean my laptop too?
  20. What! - no complaints about congested single tracks or dirt roadies?? Obviously this isn't a real MTB race! Super jealous.
  21. Rumour has it that the listed RRP includes a pair of MB socks..
  22. R18k for an Acera 8-Speed drivetrain?! Jeeezz...
  23. My understanding is that 11 speed spacing is slightly narrower than the 10 speed spacing. In such a case you might have some problems to begin with. But in any case, the 10 speed shifter will render your 11 speed RD to a 10 speed RD...which kind of defeats the purpose. If you are referring to running a 10 speed setup with a the m7000 RD...It might work, but I can't imagine that you will have the same smooth shifting as a normal 10x combo. Shimano 10x: 36t Cassette: 11-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32-36T Shimano 11x: 42t Cassette: 11-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32-37-42T So your bottom range is similar, but again, spacing as well as offset differences might complicate matters. The question still remains why!?... Okay now I see why... One suggestion is to check yourself? Using your M8000 RD... But it's a lot of time & effort and you'll probably have to redial to RD back on your own setup. My final suggestion is just to take the bite, buy an upgrade and sell off the old parts. Throw in some Sunrace components to save cash. It is not that expensive anymore (yet..?).
  24. Why would it? The ratchet / gear selector (sorry can't find the term now) only allows for 10 gear shifts. With the 10-speed SRAM shifters you could replace the ratchet to upgrade to 11 speed, but as far as I know you can't do that with Shimano... You will at minimum require 4 new components coming from 10x speed. shifter, RD, chain and cassette.

    Give it a TRI

Where is a good place to look for tri wetsuits in the general Cape Town / suburbs / Boland area? Definitely not going to get a R12k racing suit but would like to browse through some, see what's what, etc. edit: words
