    You dont leave yourself much room for mud clearance, you can almost certainly expect to wear that frame through if it is going to be muddy and you ride those 2.2's. Hoping for a dry race for you okes.

    I've seen some meteorologist reports somewhere that the Cape is in for a low winter rainfall this year and considering all the rain & mud of the last 3-4 years murphy's law says it will most likely be a clear sunny day in 2025. I was part of a 2 man team in 2019 (dual suspension) & 2022 (hardtail) both times was a mud fest. You cannot compare K2C to ATP. ATP is non technical so you can get away with a gravel bike but can you endure the corrugation and should it be muddy for all of 100 miles? Lots of gravel bikes did not make it the last time around. 7:15 is a good target if you don't get caught up with the racing bunches.     There was a crash in the lead up to the Cipressa, seemed like a narrow road that all the teams wanted to go in first, even UAE that was leading at the time got squeezed out at the last second, which ultimately cost Pogacar & his team position & where I personally think UAE lost the race.

    Mountain bike or gravel bike? Time goals? Any fast rolling tire should do the trick. I’ll probably go with a tire with more volume, for comfort one once fatigue sets in.

    After zero bike racing since last years CTCT, I was so looking forward to having a social ride at the back this year, until they sent my seeding out. Now I'm having sleepless nights of where to start, stick to the original plan or line up with the racing bro's ☠️⚰️

    We accidentally ran positive splits and it worked out in our favor. Not sure going out slower would’ve helped our cause in this game force winds. Aim was for 3:15 and we nailed it at 3:13 eventually.
