Bergamont bikes seem like very good value, but just to correct Rouxtjie they are not BMC's budget bikes. BMC is a Swiss bicycle manufacturer and Bergamont have been building bikes in Germany since 1993. Although BMC are now the majority share holder of Bergamont.
Had this same problem the weekend with my Elixir 7's. I turned the barrel adjuster the wrong way. When I turned them all the way in so that the lever was closer to the handlebar the problem was solved. A tool that I find invaluable during a bike build is proper cable housing cutters. It is also something that you will always need doing maintenance on your bike.
You get tubeless presta valves that have a big base to cover the big hole in the shrader type rims. I suggest you use Gorilla tape and tubeless presta valves.
