  1. You should not have a problem. The shifter and RD are both sram, so both should be 1:1, even if it is 9 or 10 speed. The 9 spd chain may make a bit more noise in the 10spd RD. Further on all those stuff should work with the crank, fd and cluster as long as its a 9spd cluster. Experiment a bit and you will find that almost all bike part work together, no matter the make, but there are a few exceptions. It may not be perfect, but your son wont notice.
  2. The Tinkoff / Saxo team reminds me a lot of the old Festina Watches team. I so badly wanted a specialised like that!
  3. Its Trinity cycles' groop. They cater for all types. Go by the cycle shop sometime or check on their website www.trinitycycles.co.za I think, or just use google. In summer they mostly leave at 6.
  4. Those Diadora shoes of Movistar is really drool worthy!
  5. Ja, one towns crazy is anothers normal. Yes those cyclists were hit while cycling on the N1, the only incident I know of on the N1 in my 17 years cycling. Special permission was granted to cyclists a few years back. Then if you consider that people have been knocked off of their bikes more often on the Dealesville road, while cycling in the yellow lane, and that a friend of mine died when a truck drove into him on the Petrusburg road. Go cycle there with people that know the region and you will soon notice why the N1 is used. Saying that, most people also know to avoid the N1 on certain times of the year.
  6. This is what i have in mind, just think, a mass race on Saturday and then an International UCI event on the Sunday.
  7. I wonder how many people actually read through the whole OP. I would like a race, starting in Worcester, through bains kloof all the way to Simonstown, and finishing in Houtbay. Would be the closest to Euro classics you can get.
  8. Velovlex Vittoria Vredenstein
  9. I think thats if they survive that last kick after the left turn.

  13. Sien nou op google die laaste van hulle reekse was 2010.
  14. Was daar dan nie ook n Founties Mounties reeks met truie vir die wen van elke wedren en n voorlopers trui so 4 jaar terug nie?
  15. Still wrong, A BB30 has an axle length of 680mm, your standard threaded BB shell is also 68mm. You cannot fit a BB30 into a standard BB shell, no adapter for this. (As you mentioned about axle length) The adapter you are selling is in essence for an evo BB386, these have longer axles (86mm hence the 86 in 386). All of the rotor cranks have 860mm axles, they use spacers/lock rings to make it fit a BB30. Cervelo is the company that started now with the evo BB386. (Edit, sorry typing fast before I go home)
  16. Well, I do wear a pad (in my shorts) most days
  17. An interesting exercise I did as junior and starting u/23 was to remove your seat and seatpost and go for a 3 hour ride. You will feel the burn all over your body.
  18. Same questions get asked over and over and no race organizer ever takes notice. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/129391-one-question-to-race-organisers/
  19. I think you should rather ask a sports doctor. Your HR is extremely low and this could be either dangerous or advantageous.
  20. Put in on the dining table on a bike stand, for all to see as they enter, displaying your pride and joy. Who uses a dining room table anyways these days anymore.

    Carte Blanche

Wait just a minute here! First of all, do you get paid hourly? Second, what is your age? What discipline do you compete in? What do you want to achieve as a cyclist? If you are getting a pay cut with this, then I can tell you, say no thank you. If not, he is going to put pressure on you to perform at work and on the bike.
  22. And check the placement of the cable stops on the down tube. Cable stops are most of the time a good give away.
  23. Did you actually read the part at the bottom?
  24. Technically, if all 3 basically weigh the same, the power will be almost identical, differences will be caused by aero setup and all. That said, their cadence and torque values would be of more interest.
