  1. It actually has place under the platform to fasten some weights. I still need to experiment with how much weight I need to balance it out - it seems fine when riding easy, but leans left slightly on harder efforts
  2. It's decent. The build quality seems very good, and I like the clever way the half version could be extended by just bolting on the rest should you later decide you'd prefer a full length one. As for the movement, without my trainer mat I find it pretty easy to get it to move reasonably naturally while seated. Standing is ok too, once you figure it out. Have not tried sprinting yet. One thing though, depending on your trainer it can be tricky to get the position right. On my H2, the bike position is quite off-center, so to get the bike in the center means the left leg is near the edge. This isn't the fault of the platform of course, just something to keep in mind. The Saris MP1 is awesome, but sadly way WAY out of my price range.
  3. The Sway Cycling one? I got myself the half one. I did think to make my own, but... it would have been yet another unfinished project.
  4. Or contact https://www.bicyclepower.co.za/, their support is quite good.

I've never heard of it before, but there is a demo available on Steam, so might try it out
  6. Keep in mind that the "4K" one, which is about R4000 (what, 25% more expensive than a few months ago...) is significantly more powerful than the "4th Generation" one, much better for Zwift. Shane Millar did a comparison, a few years back. I think Zwift has enabled some higher details on the 4K since then https://youtu.be/6KVkjmeW6AM?t=652
  7. I ordered some platinum bibs on Wednesday afternoon, just received them, super quick compared to some other deliveries during lockdown! Absolutely no way I'm riding outside in the next few days for a proper test, but from a quick fit they seem very very nice.
  8. I rode the draft test race yesterday afternoon, it probably still needs a bit of work. The camera angle makes it quite difficult to see how far you are from another rider. And the draft effect will take some time to figure out - at points I was riding higher w/kg than the rider in front, but slowly moving backwards according to the draft indicator.
  9. Not currently, no. But it seems as if it will be added, and probably the old app deprecated at that point (just a guess, I didn't read that anywhere). I like the simpler interface, but some parts of it sometimes takes very long to load.
  10. It doesn't actually say, except for "Every day, we strive to provide you with the best Augmented Reality Cycling Experience", so I assume Rouvy AR. It appears that the old app is not getting any love at all anymore. From replies on the post on Facebrick, ANT+ support is coming to the new app "very soon", and that workouts will also come to the new app "soon".
  11. Rouvy is starting to test their drafting, for those that might be interested. Tonight at 18:00 - https://my.rouvy.com/onlinerace/live/27198 Tomorrow at 18:00 - https://my.rouvy.com/onlinerace/live/27200
  12. Something similar to this? https://www.bicyclepower.co.za/product/boost-thru-axle-adapter/
  13. It looks quite pretty: Now I just need to figure out what it means and how to use it

So, for those with GTA5 (apparently not the Epic store version though), check this out:
  15. I received my shoes, ordered on 25th March, on Tuesday morning. They also accidentally sent me something I didn't order, sent them a mail and got a reply from Rochelle late that evening. Seems they were having some IT issues, and I'm guessing with the number of orders that need to be shipped they are very very busy, as some of her replies were well after office hours (as in, after 11PM!). So, overall I'm happy with the service I got. I got my shoes, they fit well (WHEW! First Fizik's, wasn't sure what to expect) and I now don't need to worry about road or MTB shoes for a very long time. Plus the TT helmet I didn't order and don't really need will look super pro at out local TTs , if and when we are allowed to have them again.
  16. Hmm, probably still the old Summit pricing then, in which case I'm in for a big increase.
  17. To me that looks like a fairly standard amount of toy-guts everywhere...
  18. I wonder if there is a price change coming. As far as I can see, mine is up for renewal in August, for a 'massive' R240 for a year, so not even a cappuccino per month.

The original two were awesome, although they would probably be horrible to play these days - especially Thief 1 hasn't aged well Thief 3 was ok. I have not played the newest one, but it sounds like it is enjoyable as long as you don't expect it to be the same as the old ones. Dishonored is pretty cool, loved the 1st one, yet to play the second (I have the game, not the time). So far this was the closest to a proper Thief game for me. And apparently the Styx games are not too bad either. You could also look at the Deus Ex Human Revolution (just crap boss fights) and Mankind Divided games if you haven't already. And Dark Messiah, its also a bit older but I vaguely remember it being decent. Edit: Ooh, and the Chronicles of Riddick games!
  20. I can't say that I've ever seen ours jump very high or making an attempt at getting out of the yard. Just the couches, chairs and beds, but not table height. And she only digs when it is really hot, to make a cooler spot to lie on. But, sample size of 1, and she's about 12.
  21. Ours is wonderful, although obviously I'm very biased Quite clever, and except for her sore leg (whoever abused her before we got her should rot in hell) she is less maintenance than the others. (Note the Guide Dogs Association toy from the CTCT expo, that is off limits, that she ... liberated off the dressing table when we were not looking)
  22. Got up too late, and just took the dogs for a short walk. The noise! Worth it though, they loved it. We wore our masks, but except for a dad and his daughter on bikes with buffs over their faces, the closest to masks was people protecting their necks from the virus. There should be another spike in the numbers in a week or so. Edit: oh, and plenty who started way too late to be back by 9am
  23. One of our dogs just decided that now would be the perfect time to give the squaky talky chicken toy, that they have never played with before, a try.... while my wife is on a call with her manager in Germany
  24. I'm going to print mine out and keep it with me when I go ride 5km radius is plenty for some intervals
  25. Same here, since Wednesday. And wifey's from Sat and this morning. I'm imagining someone sitting working from home, with a Casio in hand trying to calculate all Vitality users' points for the last week. Probably due to the 1st gen Raspberry Pi that they've been using as server crashing. I assume their banking is less temperamental than this...
