  1. You were a biker and rode a Harley Davidson, not a Bajaj Pulsar. You were clever enough to make that choice.
  2. Champagne valley. Killer profile.
  3. This reminds me of when one of my mates tried to produce his own reality show called "The Model Millions" on SABC3. They got 2 episodes in and sponsor pulled out, show collapsed. Never got it back up again.
  4. That chain is taking some real punishment! Awesome pic. Who?
  5. And then have to convert THE charger as well.
  6. You'll need the plug as well.
  7. I've added aluminium tubing to a seat rail on my daughter's bike because the rails were too thin for the seatpost clamp. Buy aluminium tubing at your hobby shop (maybe even Builders?). Cheap. Cut a length and then slit it down one side. Pry it open just enough to get it around the seat rail and pinch it closed again. Install as normal. If you don't buy aluminium tubing, Coke tin is the next safest bet, wrapped around 4 or 5 times. Plastic is nowhere near as good.
  8. Holy mother of pearl, that Radac is mint.
  9. I've done it before and it will work in an emergency. My buddy had been carrying a 26 Shrader tube around for ages (like 2 years, 2x Sani2C), only to find that he had Presta rims when he came to putting in the tube. Hauled out a 29 Presta tube and shoved it in.
  10. 1) Matter of personal taste. Won't get definitive answer here. 2) Depends on how much you ride and how often the tyre seals itself after a puncture, and time. Add 50ml every 3 months as a basic for weekend warriors? 3) You shouldn't get a flat, but carry a chjoob in case. Some swear by plugs - I've not used them yet. But I suppose one day I will get a lesson in why I need them.
  11. If you registered and have the race pack with race sticker and start group sticker, then yes, just arrive and ride.
  12. And that's precisely when you want it bounce around, right?
  13. Just be aware that the rim will be quite unbalanced now. Unless you put a big blob of Pratleys on the opposite side as well? Great ghetto fix.
  14. Nobody ever looks at Strava do they? Who cares what anybody else thinks about your ride. Surely nobody is that vain?
  15. I've never understood why smokers think it acceptable to drop cigarette buts out of car windows? And these are normally quite socially responsible people that would never consider littering! Can anyone explain that to me?
  16. What a great project! You guys all make me want to try a resto as well.
  17. Sometimes, it is indeed the best company to be in.
  18. My roadie took me 130km from Fourways around the Cradle a few times and back. Was a bit rough after yesterday's Trailseeker! Oh well, pain is just weakness leaving the body. And sweat is just my fat crying!
  19. I have a Superfly with a Fox Evo CTD shock and it seems to work very well. What's up with your RP2 and how old is it?
  20. Vulture trail @ Van Gaalens looks awesome. I keep telling myself to go there, but never get round to it.
  21. Well I would have appreciated the lbs that sold me my bike using any kind of wrench to tighten my pedals before delivery. But they didn't. Lost faith too.
