  1. It seems many people don't have to prove how 'tuff' they are. They are content in their own space
  2. Stem saam Chris - of te verkleineer (Zwift opm ens). Ons geniet tog almal ons fiets ry op ons eie manier ens. Dankie Japie - ek weet nou meer van die Monster en ek sal dit nie eers oorweeg, na ek jou opms gelees het. (So by implikasie - mag ek nou net op Zwift ry volgens IVR32? 😁 )
  3. Interesting, thanks Furbz
  4. Easter this year. Going via FF - Bhm, returning via Heilbron
  5. Some options are: (coming from Jhb side) N3 - Frankfort - Reitz - Bhm - Clarens (The are still a couple of gravel stretches between FF and Reitz, but the rest are in good condition) N3 - Warden - Bhm - Clarens (More and more potholes on the Warden - Bhm strectch) Sasolburg - Heilbron - Petrus Steyn - Reitz - Bhm - Clarens (Quite a nice Sasol garage at Petrus Steyn)
  6. According to this certain Wattbike models do have ERG mode.
  7. A Wattbike is absolutely great but in essence watts are watts, be it on a Wattbike or (power) capable IDT and that is what you basically require. (Yes yes, of course there are caveats and intricacies, but for the purpose of this discussion ) Rouvy also have build in programs, or you can build and customise your own. (Just a note - subscription varies between 12 -15 euro / m) The convenience factor to have access to an IDT counts for a lot So in short - yes you will get (more or less) the same benefit if you do comparable training.
  8. Some camping friends fixed a similar issues by wiring a resistor into the trailer's plug wiring - but yeah I won't recommend it.
  9. As mentioned - rather get a professional to assist, even consider blood tests to establish and understand your 'metabolic' health baseline? Do not copy what works for someone else as there is no insight and context wrt to the bigger picture. (Eg what is mentioned here is def NOT working for me at all, we all have different requirements and responses to food / training etc). Trail and error experimenting can be fine - up to a point though.
  10. Has anyone tried the online declaration process? (This is replacing the TC-01 form?) https://www.sars.gov.za/travellerdeclaration/
  11. What I found with Life360 is that it does not track anymore when you put your phone into battery saving mode (?) whereas Garmin's Livetrack will still function. (Maybe there is a setting for it but not important for me to use L360 in this regard, so I haven't checked) It (GC) also has an 'auto start' capability, and can track you against a pre-defined course if required.
  12. Hi Chris - I link the Varia to both my 830 and Fenix 6, no issues. (Watch is set to vibrate when the radar picks up a target) It works great!
  13. From the FAQ: Just confirming that even solo riders require a support driver? (And that it is not a typo, eg, with a missing 'not' ) Thanks
  14. Strava Heatmap to get an idea? Gravel or single track?
  15. Not 100% sure - but I think it is Rack and Carry in George
  16. As far as I know it is a new event - you can contact Rob for more info.
  17. Maybe contact Gansbaai Mountain Bike Rides & Routes?
  18. And then you get the crowd that say they will not give way to a cyclist (Premeditated assault?) and then I saw this this morning: https://maroelamedia.co.za/nuus/sa-nuus/man-gestuur-om-erg-beseerde-fietsryer-te-red/
