Another shout out to Rapide for excellent service . Order placed on Monday delivered to me in the sticks by lunch on Wednesday . Each part neatly wrapped . Neat . Unlike some of the bigger ones “ we only despatch once a week”. Service like this creates brand loyalty .

I am old fart but would not do it . Just because of traffic. The road is narrow and winding and it is silly season. You will have lots of drivers leaving Oudtshoorn and surrounds for a day at a beach . Sorry to be negative but I observe the drinking and driving habits of people in this area.

My STF build . Have a farmer customer who wanted a steel bike . All I could get was a Momsen STF frame . He want 1X and 160mm front travel . I liked the frame so much I ordered one for myself and put this together . M frame ,Lauf Grit fork, Brooks Cambium saddle,Jones Bar, Shimano 2 x 11 .Wheels are 700C but decided to go for comfort and have 29x2.25 on . Eggbeater pedals . It is amazingly comfortable . Weight as is 12.2 but does not feel heavy when riding .
