  4. What is the source of your stats ?
  5. When will we see the men’s mtb race our time .
  6. I have a small fleet of decent rental mountain bikes in Prince Albert all bought used on Bikehub . Granted that you will have more tourists in Knysna than what we have , do not expect to make money on rentals . If your guest house pal wants to do it as a service to his customers so be it . Few people that rent bicycles look after them properly and you better not be finnicky about scratched frames . As to the sizes go for 2 x S 2x M and 2 x L .
  7. Ek ry lekker saam Sam ????
  8. Chatting to the 1st 5 riders into Prince Albert yesterday they were quite chuffed with the wind direction coming here . Totally different ball game today howling NW wind meaning a headwind for them .
  9. 1 st 5 riders are in Prince Albert . High spirits still.
  10. Somewhere is an article about a lady who rode the Swartberg Gran Fondo with an old steel road bike that she converted to a gravel bike .
  11. I had 1 of the 1st steel prototype Farr frames . 700 wheels shod with 43 Panaracers and a Lauff fork . And EagleGX . Am too old to use a 34T upfront so ran out of speed on the flats . But it was a comfortable ride . if I was restricted to 1 bike only I will settle for my carbon Flash hardtail Lefty .
  12. More pics of that 122S pse
  13. Have you checked the number of different hangers ?
  14. He , like Lance , believes it is not about the bike …
  15. Pse wapp me tomorrow think I have one . If so it’s free. Arno zero833959038
  16. The 5 or 6 ladies I sold ladies specific bikes to are very happy . The Silverback with 29” front and 27.5 rear wheel are good choices for ladies who are not strong athletes
  17. Short answer , do the short route . You have plenty of time to increase your distances . It will be better for your morale going forward to finish strongly possibly overtaking a few riders towards the end than finishing spent.
  18. Too old and stupid to know how to post a link but have a look at this beautiful video by Shimano . Starring a KZN trail builder and his trail dogs .
  19. With a new alloy Ocho I suppose I will have to rebuild the front wheel with the appropriate hub ? Think mine is the 50mm flange according to a previous post by you .
  20. You are making life difficult . Appreciate your input and expert knowledge thank you .
  21. Preferred option to save it not keen to spend a lot on a replacement fork not sure how long the frame will last ,
  22. The Lefty on my much loved 7 year old Flash carbon is not serviceable according to Omnico . Recorded rides 41000km . Am not going to buy another older fork only to be told again that parts have been discontinued. So my question is it possible to fit a non Lefty fork and what do I need to make it work ? Thanks Arno
  23. You will have enough left to buy this after she has taken her half..
  24. Too many moons ago before there were any decent lights we were very uncool but used a bright reflective strip with Velcro around the ankles . That up and down movement made us very visible from the rear. Can’t see why it won’t still work.
