  1. Hi TZmtb, I agree with you. CAAD10 - good choice. The 2013 range is starting to come into the country now. Appear to be the same as last year but with new colour scheme. Good luck Sarge.
  2. Hi Sluiper, I got one from my local LBS. Had it just lying around - did not even charge me for it. Perhaps you should try yours, you might also be lucky. Good luck Sarge
  3. Hi JCA12, I rode for a year or so before I found out that the gear indicators can be taken off. When I did this and moved the changers to the outside and the brakes to the inside everything felt a lot more comfortable - apart from looking so much cleaner. Try it, you might also like it, Regards Sarge
  4. Hi, I agree with Grumpy. I don't like a big fuss etc either. I enjoy a well stocked shop with plenty to look at and must be priced and not just a code. Thanks Sarge
  5. Hi, The Argus is not about the race, it is about the vibe in Cape Town and the time away from home with a bunch of friends for a week end. Worth every cent. Regards Sarge
  6. Hi gents, After going through the topic on Graham Joffee and the SASCOC "GRAVY TRAIN" and now this c$@p from CSA makes me mad. Looks as if everybody is busy milking the system. The realy sad thing is that we can all bitch as much as we like but there is nothing that we can realy do to stop it. We mostly just have to shut up and endure the blood suckers. But on a brighter note - it is Friday anw we all have two days of great riding ahead to look forward to. Regards Sarge
  7. Hi Escapee, I also know nothing, BUT that is a sweet machine. Good luck to the lucky owner. Regards Sarge
  8. Hi gents, I should hitch up my trailor, make a round trip and collect all the unwanted bikes, kit etc. I would realy like to make your problems mine. Ha, Ha Regards Sarge
  9. Hi, The "forces that be" cannot enforce existing legislation, now they want to introduce even more. It is about time they walked the talk!!! Regards and have a safe cycling weekend, Sarge
  10. Hi, This sounds like a fun event. I don't have a bike but plan on visiting on the day - I live fairly close to Spioenkop. Regards Sarge
  11. Hi FC&P2C, Went up a month ago. Realy rough last 4Km. Well worth it though. This topic is realy depressing. Here most of us sit at work behind a desk just praying that we were out riding. Great to see all the lovely places to go though. Regards Sarge
  12. Morning, I felt sorry for Gerald, but was it a cold or was it from a few too many shooters the night before with farmer Glen? I would like to see what the "boys" are riding and not only in this Sani2C. Possibly the frames, G/Sets, rims, tyres, gell/no gell etc. Have a great day gents, Sarge
  13. Hi, Paraffin if the chain is realy dirty, and a good lube. Regards Sarge
  14. Hi, Good one for a Monday morning read. Now I know what I am. I am all of the above but without any money, skill or equipment worth talking about. In spite of this I live for the weekends. Have a great week Sarge
  15. Hi Leeu, I am pleased that your convert was a good one. I had mine done 6 months ago but still have to pump the tyres 2x a week to keep them inflated. Even with the hassel of the pumping, it is still worth while. Well done Sarge
  16. Hi, What ever the arrangements, we "the consumers" always land up with the short end of the deal. Sad Sarge
  17. Hi all, I think the ads are great, but the half naked male does nothing for me. Perhaps they should be replaced or banned? I wonder what would happen in the big car shows without the sexy models? Regards Sarge
  18. Hi, I agree totally with CAAD4 about a light. I have bought two other lights, at different times thinking that they were ok - just to be dissapointed. Go for a decent re-chargable light with at least 1000 lunems. The Majic light is good, some of my friends have them with no problems. Regards Sarge
  19. Hi gents, I have a Hydrapack like the one that Crowdude mentioned. Had it for years with no problems at all. It is also easy to fill and does not leak. Regards Sarge
  20. Hi, +1 Gummi. The only way. Regards Sarge
  21. Hi, +1 to all the above, Previously on a hardtail I had a sore back for days after a weekend of riding. Now on a softy I am like a new man Monday morning. As far as 26 or 29, not sure. I am on a 26 and am perfectly happy. Regards Sarge
  22. Hey Gummy, Please change your avitar - very distracting so early in the morning. Have a great day Sarge

    Sani Pass

Hi Hubbers, If you have a ride planned or have one in your "bucket list" to ride Sani, don't wait. It is absolutly fantastic and the area of the pass is breath taking. We went up and then came down after a cold drink in the pub this Sunday. I don't know why I waited so long to do it but it is highly recommended. Regards Sarge
  24. Hi, I don't know about you guys, but I find that the bigger the bag the more the junk you seem to carry. It is very tempting to pack all sorts of things that are not realy necessary. Regards Sarge
  25. Hi, In the insert on TV that I saw he was being pushed along by another cyclist, just hope he gets a little fitter by Argus! But the way I see it is that he is there and he is on a bike. Well done. Safe cycling Sarge
