I mostly wear Rapid shorts, it a CT company but are represented in Jhb and Pta. They usually have a stand at the bigger exbo's like 94.7 and Argus.

At your weight you should not be having a problem, but if you are able to trade them in for Easton Circuits. I dont know much about the Elite, but Circuits are way lighter and stronger than the Equippe. I've had mine 8 months now and the only problem i had was when i hooked my foot in the spokes bending one . Took it to the LBS who replaced it no charge as they said it should not have bent.

I know about Tour de Frans, nothing about the patches though.

To quoate Forest Gump "Sh&T happens" i doubt if there is one bike manufacturer that can report never having a cracked frame.

There was also quite a serious one about 500m from the start of the 65k ride. Most had been cleared up but i saw 2 cycles been taken away when i passed.

Still is a Bunny park. There is a group called Dirty Habits that ride from Woodstock cycles most weekend's out towards Springs, technical as you want to make it. http://www.dirtyhabits.co.za

Another reason why i prefer MTB'ing. On lapped courses the MTB pros often engage slower (wobbly) rider's without incidents like these happening

Might you also not need hubs as not all 9spd hubs can take 10spd. I know when i changed my cluster from 9spd to 10 spd Cyclelab had to check first if my hub could take it .

I have not heard about a problem with those tubes, but i only use Specialized.

OT Not all club's are the same, take mine they allowed me to join (ok maybe thats not such a good point). When i started cycling i belonged to a club that only existed to service 1 of the bigger races (Argus qualifier), corrupt chairman, no elections, no news letter, no rides etc, so i left. Last year I joined a club as it was mentioned that Lic was on the cards, it has all those things the other club did not, including a development team. Sad story. I too train on this section sometimes, its the closest open training road to Pta.
