Before going "smart" Kickr Snap I used a Cyclops Fluid 2 with Trainneroad and my daughter is using it now. It made me a fitter cyclist and riding indoors when the outdoors are not friendly. The above is well priced and you will get most of your money back once you decide to upgrade. So just do it you know you want!!

  2. I can add one comment be very careful when using anti inflammatory meds whilst training. You could end up with irregular heart beat.  I am proof of that , I have stopped taking anti inflammatory although my back is killing me. I wore one of those belts around the waist and it caused a hernia. Needs to get it fixed in due course. When you do any core work , start with more rehabilitation type of core exercises , don't start with a lot, do maybe 2 types and  monitor the pain.  I went out balls to the wall with core and it caused more pain  than necessary. I am still battling with  my back....

  3. Okay my Kickr Snap (first generation) hold up quit well and is starting to give me some issues. It seems the blue tooth connection gets loss some where. I have done the spin down on the app and when using it on TrainerRoad it seems to hold power and you can actually feel it dropping the power? Anybody experienced something similar? Next question with what do I replace this "door stop"? I just need service and back up for my hard earn money that I spend.....

During the whole Covid debacle I read up about how to boost your immune system by non pharmaceutical means. The one thing that kept popping up was deliberate Heat exposure.

Ever since, this has been my go-to: (obviously in partnership with vitamins etc):

Before bedtime I take the hottest bath I can physically muster. I run it halfway, relatively hot, but so that I can still get in. Once I'm settled in, I add more hot water, I raise the heat as far as comfortable. They I stay there for about 10mins. Then I get out and "air cool" a while before settling in for the night.

Where I got the idea: MedCram on HEAT HYDROTHERAPY that boosts Immune response - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxMEYtKYdZM&t=4758s

"The purpose is not to kill the virus, but to boost the immune response"

Other benefits: Huberman on Deliberate heat exposure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ3GjpGq5Y8

I know I'm an isolated case, but I tend to recover quickly from my viral infections by doing this. (My sick leave balance over the past three years tend to agree ;) )

    Use it, don't use it.

what about cold baths/showers which according to the clever people ALSO boost the immune system...I have started to finish my hot shower off with a cold shower........crazy I know but what the hell !!

  5. Following this thread and it amazes  me the wealth of knowledge regarding prices and products that the general hub dweller have. I must admit  that I do browse the classifieds a lot , ( why , I don't know because I am not in the market for anything right  now) and I fail to see "good value"  compared  to the rest of the gang....what I have picked up is the 2 farr bikes with a huge price difference LOL okay back to the drawing board! !

See you on the wa pad.Very under prepared. The sweeper truck might be an option

Please let us know your time.........i have come across many riders claiming zero fitness and preparation and then they do a PB on race day. It always boggles my mind how the frikkedel .......

  7. I have the Kickr Snap , I think 2018/19 model. I expieranced connections issues and tried about every possible down load / spin down etc etc with no luck. The power line on my workouts on Trainneroad was also not a flat line but had some very small zig zags. Then I opened the unit and cleaned the "sensor" pickup that was full of dust, did the normal spin downs and the Kickr is working flawlessly again. Hopefully this can help some one battling with something simmilar....
