  1. rouxtjie going for the bone - go boy go! Motor oil is great! BUT yes BUT - clean your chain regularly. (You should take your chain off and wash it - THEN oil) If you oil a very dirty chain the dirt "flows" into the links with the oil - BAD news.
  2. Especially if it was you and your child in the car/van!
  3. Trust me you don't want a mechanical dropper - may as well stay as you are. I have a Giant dropper and have had no issues. Change mine on the fly and continually and that's what makes it great. Best buy ever.
  4. WARNING!! to anyone who is seriously thinking of trying this DON'T - or wintergreen for that matter. He's jerking your leg. And no I did not!
  5. OOPs I forgot it's Friday! Will repost Monday morning.
  6. I want free range in Tokai !!
  7. Yes the ones that develop between the legs from contact with the seat. How do you deal with them?
  8. Let's get back on track here. Next beer please!
  9. You guys keep on forgetting that 29ers are the industry standard - you can't against argue that.
  10. Just replace the bearings - easy peasy!
  11. The thread title is misleading - nothing wrong with after sales service.
  12. By "adjusting" the signage I hope you mean "removing" How do you explain what I would call just plain incorrect information no matter who you are giving it to. You screwed up - fix it.
  13. Now for a system where you can adjust your HA with the help of your dropper post. Seat up head angle steep. Push seat down and HA slackens. Hey! it's Friday
  14. Seeing that mtbing is the new golf I wonder when they are going to introduce a new size golf ball say just 5mm larger than the existing size. Would that create as much debate as mtb wheel size? - Just asking No I'm not a troll (goblin)
  15. For your riding wheel size will not matter but better components will be a plus - you will never upgrade. If the bug does bite get the right bike for the type of riding you do.
  16. Full moon was on Friday (14th)
  17. FULL moon hundreds of people go up Lion's Head - have you never seen the lights going up and down. Go up to see sunset and then see the moonrise as well
  18. I understand believe me but with proxies we could have guys from Limpopo voting who have never been here and will never be here. I would have a problem with that. "Real" proxies should be catered for but how do you check?
  19. Not broken - but seems things have changed - it now ADDS the up and downs. If you go up 500m and down 500m result will be 1000m in the past it added the ups only which makes more sense to me.
  20. If it matters - you will be there. (Proxies could skew the process)
  21. OP this is the problem I was talking about - Shimano replaced
  22. You should measure your chain over 12inch at least. That tab is inside the clutch mechanism - I will see this evening if I can find a link to a picture. There is a big difference with the clutch on or off. Try google for both chain length and faulty clutch - my son had hassles with clutch but sorted now.
  23. Might be silly question but have you checked your chain for stretch. If you move the bottom arm on the derailleur is there resistance as there has been issues with the clutch system that controls the "slap" tension. There is a small tab on a plate that has broken off in the past in the mechanism which Shimano will replace (1 or 2 yr warranty) My Shimano system works smoothly even under pressure
  24. To OP - how many Argus rides have you done? If this is your first Argus then get slicks for your mtb - as you will be starting further back and making up time will be easier on a bike you know especially with a lot of weekend riders around you. Your time will more than likely be 4hrs plus and comfort on mtb is then better.
