    I always wonder why there is such a huge gap between our locals and the Europeans. A lot has to be down to just the 'genetic size of their engine' (for the lack of a better term), but I wonder how many do these sort of exercises. I'd be surprised if any of ours train at this level.

    Curious to see what Lakata and Heynek have brought to the party. Yesterday was never going to be their day, but I also didn't expect that sort of time from the Bulls. Should make for some thrilling racing.

    Must say, I'm a little worried about Arriane. I don't think she's where she was, comparatively, in previous years. Robyn has been smoking her in the lead up, which is unusual, with all due respect to Robyn. There were mentions of personal issues late last year, which I'm assuming included the search for a new sponsor, that has quite evidently affected her. On last year's form, we were in for a one horse race. That won't be the case this year.

    I know he is retired, so it's purely academic, but it's interesting that he received a 4 year ban and not the normal 2 years. Wonder if there were some aggravating circumstances. So much for Sinamatella's An Epic Tale. That's both their stars gone. Still enjoyed it, wonder if we can get it on sale now.

    Sad day. I still remember sending a mail to the managing exec responsible for funding the 360Life team to state my support for the continuation of the team after DG was caught. I knew the chances of Kev being clean was slim, but thought I'd lend some support to James at least. Naive, I guess. Wonder if he is going to tell all on 3 Talk with Nolene.

    I find the replies fascinating. Been on Discovery for years and have found the benefit from Vitality minimal at best. Clearly doing something wrong.

    My eldest has an Avalanche balance bike. It has served him well. We bought him a 14" Muna pedal bike for this third bday and he rides it often, but still pulls out the Avalanche balance bike as his first choice. My little guy turns 2 in Feb. The Muna Monster Truck balance bike is definitely coming his way! Schweeet looking bike!

    Louis made the right decision. With Cav there, there would've been virtually no support for his GC ambitions. The entire team would've been geared towards being a lead out train. As sad as it is to see him go, he did what was best for him. We'd be lucky to have 1 South African in the Tour team next year. Unfortunately, the reality is, sponsors pay for results, not African sentiment.

    Had an awesome ride at Buffelsdrift on Sunday. Google's AutoAwesome feature made a panoramic from a couple of photos and caught me chasing... me. Pretty sweet.

    Wow! My wife goes to Madrid every now and again for work. We've always talked about me tagging along and doing a bit of a holiday while were there. After watching that Zona Zero vid I'm in for sure!!! All the best Bonus! Looks awesome!

    Did my first B&B Descent last year and I have to say that in the rain Solly's Folly were a little scary in places. Awesome piece of trail though! Can't wait for this year! Let's hope the weather plays along.
