  1. Googled the price. Looking at +/- 2400 Euro (R42000) for the wheelset and gearing. Guess that is going to be way out of reach for most of us Saffas.
  2. Sure it will cost lots of Randellas.
  3. Dunkeld Cycles.
  4. That they did. Damn convincing though and still looks rad
  5. UAE Emirates to run double disk brakes up front. Just need to make sure you don't hit the front breaks too hard
  6. Would suggest either a hardware shop or even a pet shop as looks like the sort of pipe you would use on an aquarium Something like this: Waterhouse PVC 3mm Clear Tubing Pipe - 5m Roll
  7. Awesome pics. Could be a definite bucket list item
  8. Clarens (could be pretty chilly though) or the Waterberg.
  9. Stress test and Xray
  10. Well done to Gibbo. Gibbons Beers Main Smit Pritzen (U23)
  11. Update. Thanks for all the recommendations. Took the bike up to CBR this morning (purely out of convenience as stay in the area). As some hubbers mentioned might not be the cheapest as final quote came in at 4k. That includes strip and rebuild, repair to seat tube and painting. In the bigger scheme of things, 4k is not too bad considering that the frame would in all likelihood cost in excess of 50k now days to replace. Now just to have the patience of waiting the +/- two weeks for the repair work to be completed. Will be sure to post pics of the end work.
  12. CBR = Carbon Bike Repair - based in Honeydew https://carbonbikerepair.co.za/wp/
  13. Slightly better pic before taking the FD off.
  14. If not CBR, who can you recommend? Thanks
  15. Diameter of tube does change. As is the general consensus, think it is cracked
  16. Hi Hubbers Even though I am going to get a stress test done by Carbon Bike Repairs, thought I would get hublands opinion first on whether this is indeed a crack or maybe just a paint rupture. Area of concern circled in red. BTW this is where the FD mounts.
  17. Is he even doing it as don't see his name on the official entry list?
  18. Screw the bike. I am liking the walk in wine cellar That said, the bike is just dope.
  19. Hope that Gibbo can defend his title. With last year being such a disruptive year, he can at least get a decent chance to show it off. That said, think it is going to be difficult as teams like Pro Touch are going to a have a full compliment which could prove difficult for the likes of Gibbo and Willie Smit.
  20. Looks like it is new on the calendar. Also contemplating doing it as a warm up for Berg and Dale
  21. Just such an uplifting story with all the **** that is happening in the world at the moment. Words can't express the gratitude to Andrew and Buff for all the work they have put in to get this to a happy ending.
  22. and to trim it, you just remove a piece or two
  23. I have been using good old Sunlight dishwashing soap and warm water for years and have never had any issues.
