  1. Ah thought I may get a lead from here to help...damn
  2. Generally the bike is just one size smaller than the unisex size for example a normal medium would be roughly a womans large. True womans specific geometry would make sure that the seat tube is longer and the top tube shorter as ladies tend to have longer legs than upper bodies
  3. Hi Hubbers, Has anyone ordered something from the Livestrong Store online shop? I did and have been waiting 4 weeks now for it to arrive. I know the holidays and customs may have an effect on the delivery time but they can't supply me with a tracking number for the parcel! Their reasonong is that DHL Global Mail Priority (intl) posted it and when it arrives in SA the Post Office handles it from there. Secondly they charged me $89 postage to send it here so I thought great just like CRC when I take the DHL option I will receive it within 4 days max but no it seems its snail mail option. Has someone had better luck with them or someone I can try contact?
  4. The new Scale 29er series has been updated with more models, think they start at R8k now, I know of a couple of shops in Gauteng that have Karakorams, ask your GT dealer to find out if all the bike shops have bought them or some are on consignment, the GT Karakoram is great value for money
  5. I see it has Deore 30 speed but still to much I think
  6. Otherways to determine your VO2 max and LT exactly? To be able to train more scientifically and keep on improving without the methods the sport doctor or bio's use? Its normally R700 for a 6-12 week program so it really isn't that expensive
  7. I went from a shoe like yours to a carbon sole, I did feel a difference although I am sure it is not a huge gain except weight saving
  8. So the accelarate is still a low GI product just quicker release?
  9. I always order a couple of front wheel and rear wheel spokes with my new wheelset, so then I never have to wait for stock
  10. Which inturn will most probably send it down to PE to Pieter
  11. Don't go compact, I have two road bikes one has compact and the other one not, I am going to take off that compact come end January and will be fitting a 53/39 crank.
  12. I just laugh at the mentality of so many cyclists, what they are doing is against the law, you are not allowed to obstruct traffic flow, both a cyclist or a motor vehicle. We are allowed to cycle in the lane so cars should wait until it is safe to pass us but I cycle as far towards the shoulder as it is safe or practical to do. Why should the photographer have asked them to get out of the road, it only takes half a brain cell to understand its dangerous were they stood. Looking at the size of the bunch it must have been a shop or club ride of some sort so the organiser should have told them as well then
  13. Lifetime warranty is only for about five years after that you will start paying in on frames and most times they won't give you the same type of frame. For example I have seen many people offered hardtail frames for dual suspension mostly because the shocks are not a straight swap. The Scott's rear travel can be adjusted between two travel settings and is lighter than the Giant....my vote is Scott and the twin lock system And Probike are now agents for DT Swiss...so supply and variety will be on the up
  14. This is getting bad! I was hit by a car 3 years back and the b@astard drove away, I woke up 4 days later in ICU with head injuries and a badly bruised knee, shoulder and elbow. I needed to get plastic surgery on face....worst part for me to get over was the fact that a human can cause the accident and drive away. Hope this driver gets his ass handed to him
  15. Yip my choice as well, you will be able to get it for roughly R20500, spend the balance on maybe upgrading the cockpit to make it even lighter.
  16. Best is to phone Heia Safari and find out
  17. This has been posted before or a similar video
  18. The marketers are really get innovative must say it is a cool application
  19. It will be funny, have all that you can eat and when the bill comes you just say I can pay for this and that and come back Many people forget about the relationship you build with your LBS, loyalty shows a lot to a bike shop owner and you will receive much more than just discount at a shop
  20. Why do we as customers always want discount at bike shops but never ask for it at Spar/PnP/Edgars, restuarants, pubs etc.?
  21. Depends on the bike geometry and the sizing of the brand. Go into the shop where you intend to purchase the bike if you buy new and let them do a setup, best way
  22. Easy the distributors should not supply Amazon, but they would not....plenty more sales for them
  23. I have a CX, use it to commute and use it on the indoor trainer in the winter months. Usually it has a classic frame instead of compact, the standard crank they come out with are weird ratio's so I put a compact crank on mine. Do all my training through December on it and love it. It climbs like a dream and is not to heavy for a aluminium frame
  24. There will be a series and an event. As I understand it CSA is running the XCO series again next year and will be in charge of the XCM champs which is one race. The MTN series goes on as usual hosted by advendurance
  25. Why buy it oversees when you can get it here for the sam eprice heck even less then your calculations will work out to R48k...I want to purchase a mix groupo where you do for that price.....anycase buy the SC you won't be dissapointed
