  1. Not a Suntour, but a Rock Shox..............from what I understand, it is a better shock.
  2. Looks like a pretty good deal. You aren't going to get many full suspension bikes with an air shock at that price and KHS is one of the better known brands in the MTB world.

    Scott Bikes

Scott are regarded as one of the world's top brands. The Scott Foil also ranks right up there with the best. You cannot go wrong with a Scott. They are a premium brand without the rediculous price tags that come with some of the other premium brands out there.
  4. You won't notice the 2.5mm difference. As the guys above have said, I rode both and couldn't feel the difference.
  5. Check this ad in Gumtree http://easterncape.gumtree.co.za/c-Sports-Leisure-sports-bicycles-fitness-Road-bikes-W0QQAdIdZ405413077 The blue carbon fibre bike is so light that you can lift it with your finger. Talk about b*llshit
  6. I haven't seen this on the Hub as yet. I just read that Jay Thompson won stage 1 of the Tour of Portugal. This is really good news.
  7. Did I mention that I also have bar ends on my riser bars.
  8. Scream Newbie?????????? I have been riding my bikes for well over 10 years (not that I'm any good), but those gear indicators are brilliant. Why should only "Newbies" want to see what gear they are in? Anyway, you can quite easily remove that top plate and give the window a clean. Nothing will fall out.
  9. The op said that he 'unknowingly' bought stolen parts. If I were to buy parts 'unknowingly' I would not want my name dragged through the mud on the Hub. Naas is doing the right thing by not giving up his name.
  10. Went there last week and wasn't open yet. In fact they looked as if they still had a long way to go. Must have put in some serious work on the week end.
  11. Get yourself some nice "Azonic" decals made in a dull grey colour with some red pin striping for the frame. Then it will look cool.................who knows, you can create your own bike brand.
  12. Axis.....best value for money
  13. Raleigh will do exactly the same thing that the Thule will do. It will transport your bikes. Why pay the premium for the name "Thule" or the "made in Sweden" label?
  14. Merida Scultura's with Dura Ace are going for R21k or there abouts. Most brands are being discounted for the upcoming 2013 launches; which normally happen on 1 Sept. This is a good time to buy a 2012 model.
  15. Perfect for me............it's close to my office
  16. Anybody seen or made use of the new bike shops in PE? There is a small one that has opened in Russell Road (don't know it's name) and I see another one opening in 6th Ave Shopping Centre in Walmer. Is the Walmer one JL Augustyn's shop? There is a massive picture accross the window of a guy riding a De Rosa (JLA's old bike sponsor). Garth at Action cycles must be having nightmares of a new shop so close to him.
  17. Warranties are there to protect you against manufacturing defects for a specific period of time. If it is out of warranty, you are going to have a tough time convincing them to replace it. Also considering that it is a mountain bike that generally takes a lot of knocks. Just buy a new one. They are cheap enough.
  18. Agreed..............ABSA is useless. I had 2 accounts with them and administered a Sport's Club account with them too. Closed all three and moved to FNB. Much better
  19. Looks like one of the older Planet X Time Trial bikes with a weird stem/bar attachment
  20. was about to say the same to you.
  21. MTBing?............Married life is making you soft. Buy a 26inch Axis hardtail and be done with it. Spend the balance on the nursery.
  22. Where is the real "Gummibear" on this thread? I thought by now that he would have commented on his "plagurised" name.

    Team Bizhub

Does team Bizhub still exist? The reason I ask is that I saw Anriette Schoeman on TV riding in MTN colours and on the weekend I saw another one of their riders training in non-Bizhub kit, riding another brand of bike (they are sponsored by Specialized)
  24. That guy on the right will put some if the world's best body builders to shame which makes me wonder about the authenticity
  25. It looks as if SA brands are leading the way with 650b. First it was Momsen, now Titan. Just one question to the O.P. Those wheels look pretty big in the picture. Are they 650b or 29er?
