  1. bruce - how is the ERGOMO testing coming on? i see that cycle tech now advertises them. no weight in the hub!
  2. is it just me or is there a resemblance?
  3. none of the stuff you can buy off the shelf will have actual growth hormone in it - all they have are GH precursers - what this means is that some of this stuff is said to increase the production of GH in the body - if you really go into the detail of the research done on this you would see that it is mostly crap. watch out for some of the USN stuff (and other brands) containing synephrine & octopamine - i think mostly the fat burners have this - then again if you cycle a fat burner will do nothing for you aside from hampering your performance.
  4. i have to go with 101% on this one - is the new bontrager not designed by HED? spidey - go with the ZIPP - weight wheenies has the carbone at 1821g (clincher) and the ZIPP at 1278 for the tubs - 1672 for the clincher. i also think that far more research went into designing the ZIPP than the mavic. PM me if you need some tips on how to get this by the wife - i bought 2 sets of wheels this past month (courtesy of 101%) and i am still alive to tell the tale! (anyone know how long arsenic takes to start kicking in?)
  5. bruce - i see that you are VERY close to no.1 in the vets 35-39!
  6. you forgot to mention chunky!
  7. why is cervelo not on the list?
  8. is anyone from the hub actually going? then again, after all this, who will be brave enough to admit it! (can't go wrong with a cervelo frame & then you get to go to CT for free - onbytdrankie & all!)
  9. don't be so quick to judge - remember that a lot of people do not have the time to train every day & really manage to only go out once a week-end. if they can afford an expensive bike, why not? keep in mind that you can not go to a store and purchase the "i did it!" experience - no matter how rich you are. i really have a lot of respect for someone weighing in at 120kg & entering a 100k race - even if they do take 5 hours to finish. if he rides the latest OCLV & it makes him enjoy the experience more, great for him/her!
  10. with a teazers girl on the back of my tandem he sure as hell would!
  11. yep - there will be a lot of posers around - then again - how much time do you really think jens will be spending with you to "help improve your ride"? i am sure that if you hook up with these guys on their normal training rides you will get far more out of it. ps. if there are any teazers girls that want to go on my training camp, just PM me.
  12. when did they do this? rode there on sunday in the shoulder no problems. do agree that you should not be on this road later than 07:30 during week-ends & dont even get close to it ANYTIME during the week!
  13. race & puncture -> NOPE race & blood / guts -> YEP clubride & puncture -> YEP clubride & blood / guts - PHONE OLLIE!
  14. i second that! i am somewhat possessed by the subject. have a PDF @ the office with a R3 coming in at less than 5KG! even though you cant race this, it is still amazing that you can get a bike to weigh in less than my cat!
  15. old pro - whats the use of a bike under 6.8 if you are not allowed to race it? UCI rules!

    ZMA?

tried it for a while & cant say if it helped or not - only took 4 a day at night instead of the "prescribed" 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. did make me sleep better. dont think that women should take it though, but then again i dont really believe that these "precurser" supplements really do anything.
  17. very nice! that crankset was starting to haunt me, but now those calipers have joined in! all it shorts is a TISO cassette & derailleur...
  18. with the current disco team basso will not get very far in any case. it is guys like sastre, voigt and bobby that make basso the champ that he is. i expect to see either frank schleck or julich on the TDF podium next year.
  19. seems that RIIS is a hard man! wonder what the R3-SL will look like disguised in the disco paint job?
  20. go for santini - maybe even get 2 at that price!
  21. 40g of protien & EAS muscle armor ASAP after a race / VERY hard ride. the EAS is expensive, but works like a bomb. not really worth it to drink the stuff after a normal training ride. also read numerous places that chocolate milk is GRRRRRRRREAT!
  22. At least he smiles when he sees $$$$' date=' cyclelab guys do not even smile nor does Andrew greet prospective clients!!![/quote'] dont agree with this - andrew always greets & smiles in his shop. he even greets every single person he rides past (and with) in the mornings. coming to think of it, there is CAJEES, CYCLELAB, SLIPSTREAM, MORNINGSIDE CYCLES & FRITZ PIENAAR in a radius of 10km from me and all of them are friendly and always willing to help - even if I just ask advice. take a bike to CYCLELAB for a quick adjustment - no charge! same goes for SLIPSTREAM even though i did not even buy a bike from them.
  23. ... and so it starts again
  24. think the 10spd chain is thinner than the 9spd, so the 9spd sprockets would be too thick to work with the 10spd chain.
