http://www.spinergy.com/ there are many good wheelsets around - just depends on what you want to spend & you will get a 100 opinions on this site. bikemax had a brand new pair of xaero light spinergy's for sale for under 4K - a good price I think. for round about 7K have a serious ook at the Fulcrum Racing1's - very stiff & made by campy, but also works with shimano. easton also make some good wheels in that price range & so do mavic.

DT (and the rest of the opinionated) - how would you have reacted if you rode into somebody that was not really supposed to have been there AFTER you have been racing 110km in the heat with the adrenalin pumping? also keep in mind that cycling is their livelihood - a broken wrist / collarbone / leg / knee would mean that he is out of action for the the rest of the season, so no income. from what i heard the guys tried to look for her afterwards trying to apologize etc. as i have commented before - don't judge a person / situation unless you have been there yourself.

busy investigating the correlation between (excessive) Vitamin C supplementation and increased lactic acid buildup. so far found that this is the case in pigs. it is of course the hydrogen ion that causes the pain - to offset this you should supplement with antioxidants such as vitamin C --> so vitamin C causes increased lactic acid buildup (in pigs) and to counter this you should take vitamin C?

i got koolstop's & they work very well - especially in the wet. replaced my ultegra pads with these - got them from fritz pienaar. the dura ace one's on the other bike seems to work just fine.

go to Slipstream Cycles - they stock Fulcrum and helped me out a couple of times before with my wheels. they can also true these wheels not problem. sound to me to be more of a bearing problem than the spokes & the fulcrum wheels have a rather complicated system. edit: [gumpole --> clean out our messages!] Dr. Seuss2007-02-12 07:18:15

yep - not a chance that i will ride it like this! most probably a pothole that cracked it in the first place - just very glad that I saw it!

ja - shimano sprocket, but spinergy hub & that is what actually broke!

nope - QR just fine - felt a bit of play in the wheel and then found that "thingy" is loose - used a allenkey to tighten and then this just happened. had to be cracked or something.

this is the reason why i clean the bike before every race!

the zero gravity's are very cool & i am sure well worth the cost!
