  1. No 1 in England at the moment.
  2. Really hoping it all works out but if not then try Wetnose, we adopted from them before and they were lovely. Very helpful and accommodating.
  3. Mine bump into the back of my legs if I stop unexpectedly but the worst is i often wear flip flops around the house and my male dog is so close to me that he inevitably stands on the sole of the flip flop when my foot is up if that makes sense.
  4. We are becoming experts at Monopoly..... However what I find harder than load shedding currently is the constant rain and having children who are so used to being pretty much outside most of the day, swimming, playing football, softball, cricket, climbing trees etc. So now I just let them go play in the rain if they want to. They are just not used to being cooped up.
  5. Yay! GGMU!!
  6. Have a look at the skateboard section in a shop and they have children's knee and elbow pads.
  7. Luckily we dont keep them so as one new bike comes the too small bike goes to friend''s children. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on whose opinion, hubby has more than one bike so still more bikes than people. Seems like a bike every year is about normal for all children.
  8. My 8 year old said to me in all seriousness that he needs a road bike. I pointed to his new mountain bike which was bought brand new not that long ago as he goes through about a bike a year due to growth and he calmly said "Yes but I need a road bike too". It is not going to happen...…………..
  9. Glad to hear Enzo is getting better.
  10. Sorry to hear of this setback. Hoping things improve and the pain lessens.
  11. Finally a pic I can like
  12. Years back when I was still living in England, the vegetarian food offering was far superior to SA at that time. However SA does appear to be so very much better now and with a much wider variety but I can't honestly say I am vegetarian anymore so not actively searched but just what I have seen in restaurants and shops.
  13. Ha ha. I say never but I also said I'd never buy a new bike, ride more than km than the children did or enter any races and that didn't quite work out.
  14. Thanks. I'll start with the C25K and see from there. It seems a nice programme and starts at my level of zero.
  15. Damn kids ???? So first I start riding cos they did and they were too small to ride alone and then I found I really enjoyed it. Little buggers are doing cross country for school team again and want to run all the time. In my mind 8 years old is too young to run alone so thinking of trying couch to 5km. Seems a logical programme to start from zero? Any advise? Besides don't have sporty children......
  16. A friend had the same cross. Great dog but definitely harder work than a full GSD.
  17. Thank you. Love it! They are super protective. I remember when my late male GSD would guard my son's cot and wouldn't let the other dogs even in the bedroom.
  18. I specifically came on to this thread to get my dose of GSD pics and Enzo updates. Great stuff!
  19. I also thought it made it fun.
  20. Thank you to all involved. Was my first time doing this race and really enjoyed it. Bit of rain and lightening at the beginning. Was super well organised and water points and marshals were really friendly. Was fun riding through the bit of mud and made use of the bike wash. Also the bacon and egg roll went down a treat. Looking forward to next year.
  21. The Ram Jam version is one of my favourite songs.
  22. The Pick n Pay magazine Fresh Living for October has a wellness focus and has some nice recipes in it. Simple but tasty stuff.
  23. Thank you. Appreciate the feedback.
  24. Nope. I am not too happy either from a possible identity fraud point of view.
  25. I see what you mean. I Googled my cell number and a whole spreadsheet of everyone's information came up.
