gents, i'm looking to replace my dartmoor totem 32T front chainring , after 8,460.7 km according to STRIVER, it is starting to look and sound and bit tired....

 

The dartmoor chainring is cheap and lasts me long enough, but its only in stock in terqoiuse (deliberately spelled this way showing my love for the colour ). anyone know when in CPT i can get a new 32T chainring....? at reasonable pricing? ps i would like to stay running 8spd chains, so i'm still 2 minded about running narrow-wide chainring....

put an elcheapo 32t deore ramped chainring on until your PROPER one arrives .... should not be more than about R150

 

Then there is that BOGUS chap who supposedly has a carbon wrapped 32 T lying around for me somewhere in his place that I am sure he will let you use till you get your PROPER one and we can meet up for me to get the BOGUS one from you.

Haha that shouldn't be a problem. I have been commuting like that for bit over a year now. The only time when I wished for a front brake was when a self entitled pedestrian with her ipod in her ears decided to randomly cross a street, without looking behind her (granted this is a very quiet street)...

Front brake a work in progress... But the back brake doing it's job for now. Luckily most of the commute on a dedicated cycling lane.

that build looks far better in real life than on the pics .... it has me seriously considering getting a *SPIT* road bike to convert to a SS!

A week of commuting on my fs mtb ( i was between ss bikes ) had me wishing for a roadbike, or at least some road tyres on the mtb with bigger gearing..there was just too damn much tar...

 

My mate has a classic cosmos race bike, been hinting but he hasnt bitten yet.
