Steven Knoetze (sk27) Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 I see the FIA say it was the Aussie government's late response that led to cancellation happening so late.Again, this was more likely delaying to maintain the revenue. If the FIA cancel they still need to pay the promoters, track fee's, etc. If their hand is forced by government then that waives any fee's. Same reason why MotoGP is doing everything they can to postpone and delay as opposed to cancellations which would mean paying tracks and promoters with no racing to bring in money.

With the Ferrari factory shut down, I believe they must have been pushing for this.It is sad, was hoping for good racing from 2021.
