A statement from Martyn Ashston from his Facebook profile. What a guy!!!!

"Throughout this month I will be trying a few things that will broaden my horizons. Some simple things like a train journey in my wheelchair, but also a few exciting challenges that will really push my limits.

You may wonder why I need to push myself at all. Isn’t adapting to life in a wheelchair enough?

I won't lie, I'm finding each day as a paraplegic is a test, and a tough one. Nevertheless I take each day on because I don't want to miss out on the potential that lies ahead - the opportunities.

For me, the mere thought of trying something new is invigorating. Just daydreaming about tackling something new helps me muster enthusiasm, excitement, and - yes - maybe even some nerves. All of these help me fuel each day and - when an opportunity makes itself known - to alter the course of my day in a positive way.

I think that if just the very thought of trying something new can help me muster such energy, then actually turning the daydream into a reality will be deeply satisfying but also incredibly empowering.

I know there is potential ahead of me and I dare to daydream about it knowing that this will set me on the path to finding it, tackling it, and achieving it."

One of the guys at work has a Nine-T. Very nice looking bike, but VERY wide. (All side on shots are a little deceptive)
