fark I hate those steel braais. rust buckets of note. you have to continuously paint them to keep them looking decent. talking at the coast here. I'm at the point of taking an angle grinder and cutting mine out of the wall at home.

Before, during and after pics. Got a braai from a friend and I decided to refurbish it today. Did a lot of cleaning the rust off with a baby grinder and a hammer. And yes, I decided too late to put on my overall. 4c0cd4630a652a48a38558b500728a8f.jpg50bde85c058a652ad8393bbb7d0c62c6.jpgaf6f1147e790201a37b42e27de30a3c8.jpg4f657f92b773542c375cb0741fcf3d48.jpg

What is that reflection on your glasses ? Looks like a scene from a horror movie.

I am looking at getting one. Have considered stainless but its costly. Would a galvanised braai work?

We haven't got a braai like BSG's new masterpiece, but it is steel. We don't live near the coast and there's a cover for the braai, although there is some rust starting at the bottom of the braai, but I think that could be from no drying it properly after cleaning it.

What's the main difference between mild steel and galvanized then? We have a picnic braai as well which is mild steel.

Galvanized is mild steel which has been treated (galvanized). Mild steel braais are just painted.

An attractive young woman on a flight from Ireland asked the Priest beside her, 'Father, may I ask you a favor ?

'Of course child, What may I do for you?'

'Well, I bought for  my mother an expensive hair dryer for her birthday. It is unopened but well over the Customs limits and I am afraid they will confiscate it. Is there any way you could carry it through customs for me? Hide it under your robes perhaps ?

'I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you, I will not lie.'

"With your  face, Father, no one will question you"

When they got to Customs, she let the priest go first. The official asked,

"Father, do you have anything to declare?"

"From the top of my head down to my waist, I have nothing to declare.."

The official thought this answer strange, so asked, "And what do you have to declare from your waist to the floor?"

"I have a marvelous Instrument designed to be used on a woman,

but which is, to date, unused.."

Roaring with laughter, the official said,

"Go ahead, Father.

Next Please..."
