So - what have we got?

Avid Elixir 5 (black) 203mm front, 160mm rear (size they came with - will get a 180mm rotor/adapter later)

2011 XT 9 speed shifter (gear selection display to be removed)

Goodridge derailleur Cable housing, for fully enclosed system

203mm IS to Post Mount adapter for front (front came with 160mm adapter, rear with 203. The 2 are not interchangeable)

160mm IS to Post Mount adapter for rear

FUNN Rippa stem, 45mm, Camo (this looks the bizz)

Blackspire DH 36t chainring

Blackspire RING GOD bash guard

Shimano EX25 BB

Oh. And my helper in the background...

The bars are now set up. The frame is ready for decals, and the fork just needs to be touched up a bit. The cranks have been clearcoated, and are looking awesome. Swingarm still needs some work - that will happen tonight / tomorrow.

Shot bro, but I'll pass for the moment thanks. I'll use the 160 for the moment, and splurge on a new rotor and adapter if I need to.

Is that Hobbes in the background? Are you Calvin?

That's Tiger. He's my dog's pet. Loves the thing. And it cost half the price of one of those frikkin squeaky toys, and has so far lasted 3 times as long!

Why is that what you notice!? Love the rest mayhem, coming along nicely now.

because he appreciates a simple, sustainable design!

Built it last year from reclaimed laminated pine support beams. Was helluva bleached when I got it, and I had to get rid of approx 3 to 4mm of wood before the pine came out.

Couldn't have done it without my electric planer...

I love woodwork, really enjoy it, once did almost the same thing with an electric sander. Not fun.

Orbital or belt? If you did that with an orbital - may the gods pity your long-departed soul... I finished it off with my belt sander, then an orbital. Didn't do anything other than that. No wax, sealant or varnish. It looks good just like it is, and we use coasters...

Orbital, built a pergola at the front door using old Meranti decking, 32 planks, 25mm x 50mm x 3.5m, gave up after plank 8 and took it to a woodshop to have it planed.
