Tempers flaring up the stairs. Warner mouthing off again.

post-6789-0-49039600-1520244918_thumb.png

He was grossly verbal after the run out of De Villiers. and they requesting the stump mics be turned down between balls bowled? much to hide that's not in the spirit of the game aussies?

Warne, Warner, Warning... It's like toss, tosser, tossiest

5 areas to work on

Win the toss :w00t:

Top 5 needs some consistency (accumulation of runs and partnerships

Communication between running between the wickets

Variability in fast bowling (some left hand mean machine)

Don't get sucked in by the adolescent behaviour of the visitors (distractions, focus on own processes and let the game officials do their job)

Warner...still a little boy. I like the way Faf comes out in his towel to check what's going on!

Tell them about the gangs in cape town, and then get some weaponry in Philander hands and send him into the changeroom

“You have to delve and dig deep into yourself to actually get some hatred about them to actually get up when you’re out there." Warner before the ashes.

But Smith says although they might be noisy they don't get personal or nasty whereas de Kock hurt poor Davey's feelings which is not acceptable. And in other news politicians everywhere started caring for the people.

well, whatever the reason, this must have generated a lot of interest in this tour. It will be like the crowds rolling up to rallycar: who cares about the racing, those damn crashes!

Controversies[edit]

Former New Zealand captain Martin Crowe has called for a yellow-card and red-card system to be introduced to international cricket to curb Warner's "thuggish" on-field behaviour, stating that Warner was "the most juvenile cricketer I have seen on a cricket field".[48]

On 12 June 2013, Warner was dropped for Australia's second match in 2013 ICC Champions Trophy match against New Zealand following an attack on an England cricketer.[49] It later emerged that this player was Joe Root. The event happened hours after Saturday's loss to England at Edgbaston earlier that day.[50] According to the sports journalist Pat Murphy, the incident took place at 2am at the Walkabout bar in the centre of BirminghamUK. On 13 June 2013, the Australian Cricket Teamannounced that Warner was to be fined £7,000 (AU $11,500) and would not play for his country until the first Ashes' Test on 10 July 2013. Warner subsequently missed the rest of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and the tour matches against Somerset and Worcestershire.[51]

Warner attracted further controversy soon after. On 27 July 2013, whilst playing for Australia A against South Africa A in Pretoria he was involved in an on-field altercation with South Africa A wicket-keeper Thami Tsolekile. This was deemed serious enough for the umpires to step in twice; however, no formal complaints were made and Warner tweeted later in the day describing it as "friendly banter". Despite this, writers called into question his return to the Australia squad for the third Ashes Test against England, which seemed likely after scoring 193 in the first innings of this match.[52] He was eventually recalled.[53]

according to Adam Gilchrist, it 'must' be something highly personal to set him off. of course its the other guy's fault. Sincerely doubt De Kock would ask Warner if his wife knows Michael Slater personally.

Almost

Meanwhile, Steyn remains on track to make a comeback for the third Test. He has not played any competitive cricket since the first Test against India in January, where he injured his heel on comeback from 13 months recovering from a shoulder injury. Steyn confirmed he is back to bowling but he has to play some first-class cricket before he can make an international return. He hoped he will be "on a cricket field by the end of next week." He is likely to play for the Titans in a round of franchise matches which coincides with the second Test in a bid to make a return at Newlands, and take the three more wickets he needs to become South Africa's leading Test bowler.

When the one team are very open in requesting stump microphones be turned off, start their stint in the field with ambush marketing..and then got all cross when their golden boy can't take his own medicine.

I hope the proteas really rev him up in the next game. pushing him over the edge shouldn't be too hard. He's no stranger to controversy.

Here's where DeKock apparantly went too far, mentioning this incident about Warner's wife's history

maybe they can bring up a game of golf at a course in fishhoek?

It does however take away from the fact that Warner is obviously doctoring the ball.

Take away two spells from Starc where the ball was reversing like no one's business and we won this game. Best news is how Lyon went wicketless in a 4th innings, he's been hugely important to them and our guys won that round.

going to be an intriguing series, and we could still take it 3-1
