She was not even out of breath after the race. The DH guys could hardly talk for 30 min after. She is obviously extremely fit, she does look it anyway!!

Agreed! she seems to be a lot stronger than previous years. Could never understand the fuss around batty as she wasn't exactly pulling super results, and her coming 2nd this weekend underlines that. But she pulled finger this off-season looks a serious contender. :thumbup: just makes her hotter than ever ;)

The was an article on Bike Radar on her. She has chosen to use the big wheels this year after switching between them last year. She has zero stack and negative 25 deg stem if i remember correctly, also she uses a flipped seat post that allows her to put the seat further forward because she is 5 feet 3 (159cm).

Interesting contrast with Shurter (174cm) on the mid size wheels.

Watching her round he course on saturday was great. she really handles the bike well and with no fear. If this is her early season form she could deliver on her talent.

OK

@Mtbbarbie, SoloStorm and blackVoodoo:

My ex wife is/was a blonde and things ended very bad

But anyways so the perception of long blonde beauties werent what it should be.

But the last year or so, one specific mtb'ing lady changed that perception cause she is actually very down to earth and a very nice person as well, and now Emily Batty as well it seems.

There that's it case closed!

She's been hovering top ten last year. CaAd was it you hollering "Go Emily" up at the rock garden where she unfortunately lost the race?

Yep that was probably me. She took the Poles line and the Pole took an unfamiliar line and just held on. The gamble paid off and she rode to the win. There are some great photo's of her airborne at one of the drop offs. This pretty lady sure can ride. She's absolutely fearless.
