I really don't think you get better value for money than a Jura... even though they are a bit over your budget.

Ps: it may save you a bit of moola to look at the Prestige Foamer instead on trying to buy an integrated foamer. I picked up a Prestige foamer from Checkers at R250. and I am 110% happy with it... in fact it's been my favourite new toy for the last 4 months. (it's a spindle foamer, not a pressure steam foamer)

Happy shopping!

So I was about to pull the trigger on a Jura Impressa F7 and got talking to a mate who has bought a De Longhi 4500 for his office. What would the actual coffee making differences of these 2 machines be? Jura is R11500 whilst De Longhi is R6500. Jura looks fancier, yes, but is there a big difference under the hood?

12 - 14 minutes for a cup of coffee? Also, beans cannot be ground immediately after roasting the last time I heard?

You can grind beans immediately post roasting, but they have so much crema it's a bit of a laugh what happens... - taste does seem to develop better after a couple of days - I normally wait 3 days post roast before using beans - unless a coffee emergency occurs....

I don't think there is much in it between the Jura and the deLonghi - it's more about what the backup service is like....

Fortunately I don't own either of those brands, but have a Siemens the wife uses.. when that breaks, I will buy her a Jura... in any colour she likes...
