I had two BIG CRC orders ready.

Was keeping an eagle eye on the Pound/ZAR for the last month.

So glad I decided to pull the trigger last week.

Just missed this newest ZUMA f-up.

Will be having my goodies by Friday.

Also ordered the last bits for my wife's road bike from CRC over the course of the weekend. Few grand worth of parts. To arrive tomorrow or Friday.

Will post a pic when it's built up.

Ordered last week from Clever Training (with DC Rainmaker 10% discount).

Managed to get them before the cANCer's leader opened his mouth again.

One for me, and another for a training mate.

Very nice. Still a chunk of change but good value for money, on all accounts. Will gladly take it as a donation should you decide you don't like it ;)

may just have committed the ultimate sin.

Bought a Specialized Slaughter Grid tyre for the rear of my Giant Reign, to complement my Schwalbe Magic Mary front tire.

Does it come with spare tubes and puncture repair kit?

Review that bad boy up. I was tempted by one of those but heard things about the flex of the casing and toughness issues.

I got one on my spare wheel. Its ok on hard pack but I found its very twitchy on the loose stuff and on High speed fire roads, oh and dont ride it in the wet.

Also bought cause it was cheap.

I bought it cos I loved the Rock Razor in pretty much all conditions, and wanted a faster rolling rear tyre which still corners like a beeeeeyatch. I know it has almost no straight line braking ability, but I'm prepared to live with that given that I'm predominately braking in the front (except to moderate my speed) and I like a loose rear.

If it fails, so be it. I'll have tried it and seen what it can do. But given that it has the same side knobs as a purgatory Butcher, I reckon it'll go quite well.

Oh - I loved the RR in the wet. It added a bit of knyp when the bike was upright... And sliding into corners due to the small middle blocks, then having the tyre dig in and just GRIP was nice!
