an interesting way to mount it causes a bit of scraping of the logo. The Apex boast 240 deg of contact, so you can't push the holding brackets into place. You have to slide it on, starting from a thinner bar diameter near the upsweep, and then toward the center and into place.

 

 

Why not... Hold the bar in place, and clamp one clamp on with your thumb then attach that one finger tight, then go to the next one? That way you don't have to slide it in...

Nope, other way around. So the stem-side section is 80 degrees. The open side is 240 degrees.

let me hold your hand: draw a full circle. now draw concentric to that, an arc of 240 degrees. Now try and pull it away from the full circle in the radial direction (the reverse of what y'all suggesting).

The clamps opening isn't wide enough to go over the bars. Clamp opening is 80 deg. Clamp measures 31.8 at the widest point which I'd tdc to bdc or 0 deg to 180 deg.
