Actually going to be a first that I'm not riding TLR tekkies. :w00t:

The last Crossmark's I had were on my Raleigh Marathon 6.0, and that was in 2010. Went for a tubeless conversion yesterday, as my new (2nd hand) bike came with tubes, and went for a set of Maxxis Crossmark's.

A happy camper that I am.

Yeah, I went for a 30km ride at VG and went through 1 x tubeless and 4 x tubes. Getting a bit of a reputation as "that guy that gets punctures (and lost) often."

Not new. But got great deals on some pre-loved parts in superb condition.

The old girl has been standing in the shed for too long,

Its about time I showed her some love.

Not in your shed, though. Saw it at Droo's and drooled a bit...

Jeez I really need to get there. I've been sponging off his good nature for too long.

I intend dumping 3 bikes there for him to sort out. But don't tell him that.

If he doesn't have room. I'll sweeten the deal with some samoosas.

I've been waiting patiently to post this here, finally it all came together. 160mm fork with 20mm thru-axle Zee hub built onto Sun rim paired with possibly the last 26" Maxxis Minion I'll ever see and fitted to my GT Avalanche single speed.

Still need to fit some gears at some stage, but that can wait for now. deb8b4e3dbbf932b3b39485b6dbc174d.jpg

Thanks, all started with the frame that I traded for 2 bottles of red wine. Started collecting parts, adding and swapping out as I went along, with no apparent end in sight.

Basically just making sh@t up as I go along.

After boiling my Deore brakes coming down from celltower at Lionman and being forced to do that descent at 78km/h it was time for some upgrades:
