Looks quite good.

Just watch the Exhaust on that Fortuner. Looks like it is pointing directly at the rack. The hot exhaust gases can cause problems, especially with Carbon, and probably with tires as well.

Thanks , I will check carefully

Always took you for a gold chain hanging out the shirt kind of guy .... this based on the rather loud colour scheme on your ex. Silverback :P

Now go home and build the bloody bike already

Don't confuse me with @babse, i still have most of my teeth and no gold teeth

Built up my Nextie wheels yesterday - they look really chunky, especially the front with the 2.4 on it.  Despite using bigger and heavier tyres front and rear the weight of the bike has dropped by 250g   I'm not a weight weenie by any means, but it's nice to have bigger tyres with all of their benefits and still have less weight overall.
I've run out of time to test them though, so they'll be getting a shakedown this weekend at Eselfontein!  Hope I've built them properly

~2k at the brand stable. They have a square pattern on most of the sole with triangles at the front.

Can you please show us the sole of the shoe, also where from and price???

Correct and it's R1900.

Nice and stiff...... Yes yes I know that's what she said

Good grip on the pedals. My first pair of proper flats and I can feel the difference, especially on power transfer to the pedals.

Wish I could have bought a pair, but they were just too narrow for my feet.

Check on Boardriders as they have the DC Skate Shoes. The nice chunky ones for around R1000.00 and they too have a super grippy sole. I use these and at half the price or less than 5Tens I can't complain

Bought some new tyres for my hardtrail. I had Ardent 2.4 on front and back that wasn't grippy enough so I went 27.5x2.3 Minion DHF Front and Aggressor rear with Csixx Foamo inserts to protect rims at lower pressures and give a bit of cushioning on the HT. Going for the first ride on them on Saturday.

I've stopped trusting sizing guides to fit shoes. I have a wide forefoot and a high instep, and sizing ranges between 11 & 13 uk depending on the manufacturer and "last" that they use.

Got a pair of 2fo's that fit perfectly, but only once the stock innersole is replaced with a much much thinner and more malleable version.

Lolz... Next week I am planning on getting a pair of Freerider Pros

I may very well be in the same boat.

Took my Maltese back to the shop and they got hold of the supplier who said nothing wrong with my shoe but its is more for clipped in riding, as others here have mentioned.

When they were asked but why offer the flat option then they could not answer.

So consumer tip, if you are going to ride flats do not buy a shoe that can do both!!!
