Banned again? When you're not here 24/7, you sure miss a lot!

Bring him back, I say. With or without facts.

Yes we want Dangle Back.

Hey Guys

Please see the below which is a copy of a post from Admin on another thread.

Hi all,

Dangle's suspension was as a result of the a PM exchange and not the "discussion" some have referred to here. The contents of the PM will not be discussed here.

I have discussed the matter with Dangle who has accepted the reasoning.

There is no need for the decision to be debated here.

Hi all,

Dangle's ban came as a result of a direct infringement of the community rules. As this occurred in a private conversation, the nature of the infringement will not be discussed in open forum.

He has acknowledged the infringement and accepted the suspension of his account. This is not an outright ban, but a suspension, the period of which is currently under review.

The decision was not taken lightly. Please respect the community rules and the action taken.

Thank you.

Are you guys a bunch of two year olds? The owner of this forum decided on a course of action. The parties involved contravened the terms and conditions of the forum. leave it at that.

If it wasn't for the fact you mark the bottom of your cycling shoes with permanent marker I wouldn't have recognised you T... :whistling:

So a personal message is not so Personal after all.

Thanks for the clip dangle see you soon.

Mods are elected to ban people if they deem necessary. If they ban your chommie, trying to start a popular uprising is going to get you banned too.

If that is the case then the mods needs to look at their "reasons" a bit closer.

Warnings and Suspension

We follow 3 strike policy with regards to infringement of any of the above rules:

  • 1st offence: Warning
  • 2nd offence: 2 day suspension
  • 3rd offence (following suspension): Permanent ban

All warnings / suspensions will have a 30 day life time.

This means that if the 2nd offence occurs within 30 days of receiving the 1st warning a 2 day suspension will apply.

A repeat offence in the 30 days following the 2 day suspension will result in a permanent ban.

so assuming you followed protocol he should have been warned first and then a 2 day suspension if he contravened further?

Also just a note since i have now read the rules on the site. I have seen plenty 'spam' posts, one most recent yesterday in Rant 'n Rave which i happened to comment on. It says these will be removed. Clearly that hasn't happened.

"We will remove any posts that are obviously commercial or otherwise spam-like.Our aim is that this site should provide a space for people to interact with our content and each other, and we actively discourage commercial entities passing themselves off as individuals, in order to post advertising material or links.".

Not trying to cause any hassles. Mere curiosity really, there will always been issues on a public forum when things aren't transparent. Dangle is a prominent member of 'OUR' forum.

Have a super day admin people.

Hopefully the Mod involved didn't transgress the rules aswell seeing as tho it seems to have happened 'behind closed doors' maybe he/she should also have faced suspension

anyway just my 2 cents, trust it wont make any difference in any case, just wanted to voice my concerns and for the record i dont know Dangle, have only seen him post and primarily in the Photography side as we are both active posters there and have seen him give many people solid advice with regard to questions
