If anyone wants to test ride one of these babies (110, 120, 140) in Gauteng, the Trailhead has a few demos for that purpose. And the shop is right on the trail - so you just hand your ID/drivers and car keys, change into you kit and hit the trails.

The revised Delta treeline downhill - only 3kms away - is perfect Pyga country, like a small taste of Karkloof, full of berms rollers and jumps [emoji106]

Just a warning though: Last week I accompanied two guys on test rides in the Delta and both ordered Pygas [emoji38]

The golden question.... Do you have an XL demo?

Had similar looking cracks on two Giants, also told it was rideable, within reasonable limits of course. They replaced both frames without question, I am sure Pyga would do the same, if not quicker as they are local!

Super excited, after much debate and testing multiple bikes, I placed an order for a Oneten 29er, should arrive this week! Used a Morewood Zula 650b convert for the last 3 yrs and was convinced I'd not find a 29er I like, until I tried a Oneten. An SA expat into Ireland is bringing them in ( bugger got there before I could) and my LBS have the deal to stock them....seems serendipitous I'd end up on another Morewood designed machine.

Medium Oneten ( frame on its way)

Parts waiting to go on:

XFusion Trace 120mm

WTB KOM rims on Hope pro 2 Evo hubs, Conti mountain king tyres

Hope BB and headset

Rental 50mm stem

Answer 680mm bars

XT gearing and brakes

Race face turbine 2x10 crankset

Rockshox reverb dropper post

Fixik Gobi saddle

Can't wait to get this thing built

Not transferable AFAIK.

I also don't believe warranty claims would be speedier than any pther make. PYGA may be locally designed but the frames are still made in the East(unless somebody knows differently)

All frames can crack unfortunately.

Anyone able to tell me if Pyga would honour the warranty on a frame if I bought 2nd hand. Is it my imagination or are there a lot of these frames cracking?

Two frames reported here...

I'd say it's your imagination at this stage...

I think what he's referring to is that PYGA are based here. Warranty approvals can take place by a quick phone call to Pat and the lads and won't be a drawn out process as when distributors would need to feedback to an internationally based company etc etc...

PYGA will have frames readily available - I'd imagine, if the warranty is approved, they'd swop out the frame with a local one and then take it up with the manufacturing setup...
