given that they're probably not looking at grip. As long as it finishes the race, and has more grip than a crossmark or a small block 8 (also not a very high bar) then it'll be "highly recommended"

Cool. I'm busy drilling these tyres all over the place and I'm flippin loving them I must say.

Serious grip on the Kratos 2.45 on the front but I got them because I also heard they are "bomb proof". So far so good plus the 100 day guarantee on side wall cuts!

Yeah the kratos 2.45 seems to be the one to go for. Also may be that you got the good Enduro Dual compound, whereas I can't see what compound is on his tyres. Also looks like the 2.25 version...

I did get the dual compound...can't see his either.

The Scylla on the back has also proved to be tough as nails so far and really fast rolling on the gravel grinding roads too. Gonna use them for Cullinan2Tondeldoos and Trans Baviaans.

Been using this combination on the same trails that basically destroyed the WTB Vigilante/Trail Boss combo I had before. I'm a WTB fan but current tyres are far superior in my view.

I got mine at The Bicycle Company. I stay in Randburg area but went to their branch in Centurion cos they had a massive selection...

They have a branch in the Cradle and Pretoria too....all on their website.

I'm in Howick next week Thursday, I can pop into the Pyga shop and see if they have one lying around.

I've seen a few parted out frames there so maybe there is a used one that I can broker a deal on.

I'll be joining the Pyga family soon! Ordered a new Pyga Stage (mini max) frame from Pyga HQ in Howick. Will collect it at the end of this month and transfer my current components across. Can't wait!
