CTL increases about 3 every week.

I've been running negative TSB number since beginning of the year and I'm curious to seeif I'll feel strong on race day if I go in with a marginally positive number.

If it is your A race for the year, then you should be +, if not, just rest and eat well the week before the race.

you don't need it....its not a must gen...all it is a formula(TSS..training stress score) to see what impact a single / block of workouts had on you fitness level(CTL...chronic training load) and fatigue levels(ATL...Acute Training Load).

I like data so I am like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to influence of workouts on me...am I getting fitter, how much did the workout benefit me, how much did it fatigue me, when will best day to put in a big workout for impact on race day and be well rested for it(TSB...training stress balance)....etc etc...

Google CTL and ATL...it will set you free, but if you not into numbers and data it won't mean anything...it will just be a bunch of numbers

Ive got an excel one if you are looking, I dont use it, I just use golden cheetah.

Tried Golden Cheetah.....does not want to import my WKO files.

Imported one or two and tried to make sense of the 400 menus and screens.

Gave up.

Did this whole process twice.

I am very interested in the Excel version..........? Feedback etc?

IdeJongh....how long did it take you to develop your own system...up and running and makes sense?

Took about a day, system totally makes sense, on rides that I don't have a power meter I use the Strava Est. Avg Power, to calculate the TSS.

*(yes I know this can be inaccurate, but when compared to actually power meter data seems to be a tad on the conservative side)
