Next to, or just behind the trokkie?

next to and still within the emergency lane. Those clover trucks create a wide hole in the wind around them.

edit.

and the speed limit on that stretch is 80, so I was also within the speed limit.

You're an example to me, ouzo.

I frequently roll through red lights when it's safe to do so.

But then is it a real PB if you used the trokkie for extra pace ha ha.

I do agree though and personally stop at all red robots when riding on the road. Try going to work at 5.30am i. Winter, they still go through on the red in The dark, cars included. You almost have to treat green robots like stop streets

I take PBs when I can get them. Given that the lights were mostly red I think the little extra pace from teh trokkie was cancelled by the red lights.

Nee, Ouzo, nee!!!

Nou dis my RANT

Sommer weer van voor af kwaad, en sommer vir jou ook ouzo

You mean, when you THINK it's safe UNTIL that other vechile you DID NOT SEE collides with you, and hubbers are blubbering at your funeral*

*Hopefully not until your old, grey and you know what drags on the ground

I noticed your reason.

Guess you just ranting here then.

Oraait.

ranting with the small hope that the chop reads this forum and changes his ways.

It is after all the Rant and Rave section.

So if he does read this, and learn his lesson... he'll know who it was and I'm pretty sure he'll confront you and ruin your next ride...

if he learnt his lesson he wont confront me, if he hasnt and wants to confront me then game on.

I'm frankly sick and tired of the lawlessness on our roads by ALL road users. Sometimes I wish I was an undercover cop and could just pull guys over.

you are a road user, you must follow the laws of the road. in case you didnt know a red robot requires you to stop

blah blah blah - 1 dimensional response and, of course, I dont have to follow the laws of the road.

Am just being honest and realistic. There's no point on a Sunday afternoon stopping at a red light on Atlas that lets traffic into Denel which is shut.

What did scare the bejeesus out of me was the Lido group on Saturday with their mass right-hand turns on and off the R550. We werent following the law at any point on that ride - no cycle club ever will.

Agreed and know how you feel - just odd that you didn't stop him.

This morning I made a vehicle stop who passed me on a double solid line (I was in my car)... pulled him over right in front of one of our 1.5m awareness signs (on the Amashova route) and gave him a quick lecture on road rules & cyclist awareness - politely of course.
