Just that the link activating the shock is "pulled" by the rear triangle, which then compresses the shock... Here's a vid. This is a moto design, but the concept is the same. As you can see, the swingarm "pulls" the linkage instead of driving it forwards. Claim is that it gets rid of any lateral deflection in the stroke.
