After a too long break, The Orville is starting again later this week:

I'm late to the party on this one, but recently been watching and enjoying The Last Kingdom (Netflix).

Similar vibe to Vikings, but I think I prefer it. Binge watched seasons 1-4 on my daily commutes and in the evenings.

On the side I'm also watching the weekly instalments of Obi-Wan and The Boys.

Just finished S01 of Moon Knight, equally impressed and disappointed.
Storyline was great but expected a more "super heroey" type series. I enjoyed it, the kids not so much.

We really enjoyed it, even if there were some times that one has to look away (we're not ones for too much blood and gore, especially if medical).

Yeah, my wife spent a lot of time looking at her phone or iPad during those scenes (it's her defence mechanism), but overall enjoyed the humour and drama of the show.

I think what made matters worse is that we haven't had kids (yet), so some of those scenes may have had a birth-control effect on her 😅

I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking as it's the generic "former special forces commander gets wronged and wrapped up in a conspiracy and goes out for vengeance" story line, like half-a-dozen other shows/movies.  It was enjoyable easy watching, but not sure it deserves and 8.2 rating.

Have not watched the series but read all of the Jack Carr books, not bad. Suppose like the series it is a bit of "mindless" reading, can just coast through it.
It is no coincidence that James Reece shares the same initials as Jack Reacher of Jack Ryan. Same same, just different.........
