Yeah, getting into it. I'm liking the effort that has gone into creating the universe... lots of minor things that make a huge difference ito how believable it all is

yes, we're in the lull between a lot of the good shows. come Feb and March (e.g. House of Cards) it will pick up again. At the moment, just feels like I'm watching for the sake of watching TV, so have decided to stick my nose in a good novel or 3 until then :)

I have to ask, where do you okes get time to watch all this TV. No kids?

at any one time there are 2 to 4 good shows on at a time..so thats 2 to 4 episodes a week..an hour every second night at your discretion..i normally settle down for an hour between 8 and 9 and then go to bed and read for 1/2 hour

Started Watching Shades of Blue. Like it alot. Ray Liotta is def one of my favorite actors and JL isn't to bad either. And then also started watching Second Chance. Not to bad for the Pilot episode.

ok so after 2 episodes of Billions I think this is going to be the premise of every episode

Beginning: zone in on what living the lavish life is all about..sex, helicopters, jets etc etc

Middle: lots of gobbleygook about trading that 99% of people haven't got a clue what they talking about...but that's ok cos you not meant to...with a bit of a plot about the AG vs axe capital

End: Axlerod smugly buys something big

Shannara series is a collection of books, whilst much like LOTR, has a very large following all of its own. Sword of Shannara etc. Interested in this, though I hope it doesn't turn into another "Legend of the Seeker" which was a total crock of shaie, not like the books at all. Characters were Waaaaaaaay off. Hope it's more like Game of Thrones in the way it kept to the books.

As for Expanse - looks good so far. Universe development looks pretty strong so far (different dialects and so on, as well as the different physical characteristics of each "race")

Childhood's end - will look at it.

Colony - seems okay-ish. Will give it a shot.

2nd chance - as above.

I watched episode 1 and 2 of The Shannara Chronicles today.

I'm not really a big fantasy fan, but this is a pretty cool show.

Also watch the episode 1 of Angel From Hell - pretty funny.

I really liked the Seeker books, and the series was awful. I often find the low budget fantasy movies and series are bad, you really need a budget to make them work.

The Shannara books were not as great, but I'll give the series a shot.

To be honest I didn't know that it was based on books, so, having nothing to compare it to, I enjoyed it.

It's not a genre I would normally be interested in.

I'm actually enjoying The Expanse. Appreciate the seemingly plausible sci-fi plot and good story to match.

Sheesh has no one mentioned Suits? Donna :w00t:

A little ashamed to admit that I actually watch Suits. I blame the wife.

Childhoods End was mmh... Okay I guess. I know its based off an old book but the story was kinda one dimensional. I get the impression that it was intended to be far more thought provoking than it actually is. Entertaining none the less if you have the time.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow is completely juvenile and the acting is putrid.

Don't know if I have the patience for Colony. I mean I can appreciate the slow unraveling of a premise but leave your audience in the dark long enough and they'll stop watching.

I don't know why I tried watching Heroes Reborn again. Sigh.

Havnt started Shadowhunters yet but it looks rubbish.

I see a few new episodes of Wicked City in the list but I doubt I'll get back to that.

Desperately trying to find something good while I wait for GoT and Mr Robot
