Yup, the Gambler aint no Kate Moss...

In the interest of DH bikes, I'll post some details of mine (mostly cos it's the only one of my bikes I've ever weighed  , haha)

Morewood Makulu (Large custom built frame)

Last weighed in at 17.1kg

(that was with light tyres. Now running heavy...BUT it has had some upgrades since, like Ti spring, Hope integrated stem etc).

Retail... approx 60k Therefore approx R3530/kg.

Hard to tell if that's good/bad value for money

You weighed your bike???

I wish you would as I am feeling guilty, though I did not pay that much with me having had a warranty and only having to pay in a small amount on the frame

Scott S4, training wheels, mostly 105, light on for winter, 2 half full water bottles and a bomb taped to the seat post. 9.4kg.

Cost 3400 for bike, 900 for new groupset and 750 for light.

About R500/Kg

Spend the rest on entry fee for DC :P
