Only read reviews, but looks like Rossi was unbeatable today. Interesting both Yamaha's battling with wheelset on the straights.

Great to see Binder get his first win, hope he can be consistent through to the end of the season and take the championship.

But I cannot help but enjoy his magnificent enthusiasm.

How happy was he today!

I'm awaiting the full story to still come. Dovi pulled off track very abruptly deeming the tyre unsafe to ride. The garage was very quick to get the tyre away from the cameras. So I do believe Jorge had a genuine issue today, but I think Rossi still had the upperhand, he was unflappable.

Edit: I take it back:

You thinking maybe some water with antifreeze may have been to blame for the traction issues?

Dovi is having such bad luck, had his teammate beat by the sounds of it too.

See Cal finished, must be raining in Spain tonight!!!

water with antifreeze

Doubt they'll be running antifreeze, but water would still very much affect grip and Laverty was pointing furiously at the GP16 when he passed him.

Pick up that lip, it's not that bad

No lip to pick up, but thanks for your concern. Like I said, I missed the race. Couldn't find a reliable streaming channel.

What I will say, again from reading reviews and the interviews, is that it was a good ride by rossi. Remember though that rossi is a wet weather spcialist of sorts and this was the strangest wet race ever.

Don't take it from me though, here is Pedrosa's comment:

“I was losing like I was riding in the wet. So all my riding around the seventy percent of the race was like riding in the rain, with the throttle, with the gears, with the angle, everything super smooth,” he said. “I didn’t watch the race, but I guess it was quite a boring race. The tire manufacturer need to come up with some ideas, because I don’t think the problem comes from the bikes.”

I do think Lorenzo could have been a bit more gracious in defeat and should have taken his beating a bit better, everyone had the same problems but it was like he was trying to convince himself he could've won. Nobody could have bested rossi yesterday. "If's" and "could've's" don't change the result. Championship is pretty tight actually, going to be a long season...........

I am obviously over the moon about VR46 leading for all but about a second of that race but if i'm honest the real race happened a few hours prior to that when BRAD BINDER THE LEGEND went from last to victory. That is how its done. When he took the lead with 9(I think?) laps to go i thought the lead would still change a few times but he just dropped those okes like they where on bicycles. How did he still have tyres left?

Marquez took it well. But as far as Jorge is concerned: "Nada más que una victoria es una derrota."

He's said that before.

Y sí, hablo español.

After Moto3 the GP was a snorefest but lucky for FFWD.  I have no rider I really follow but Rossi was just masterful and grumpy Lorenzo also had a whine about his tyre, on the straights it seemed he said it felt like being in the wet.  Marquez starting to look like he's learning something about controlling himself so will be hard to beat for the title I reckon.  But Lorenzo and Rossi cannot be discounted just yet obviously.
