3:00:20 for me.

So very bummed! :cursing:

Group C caught B just before UCT, I think. We could see them leaving Town, so it was a good target to chase. it was pretty tense after that, with riders kerb to kerb. My brake pads are worn down - it was brake/sprint all the way to Smitswinkel. I saw 2 relatively minor crashes on the M3. Hope there were no more and those who did crash heal up quickly.

Very happy to get to the finish unscathed and chill in the Nedbank tent

Unlucky, but very well done nonetheless. That's hauling some serious ass especially in the wind.

Very well organized once again. Who took the win and the ladies?

Hoffmann and Stander

Does anyone know about causalities in L group from the big crash on the M3 after Tokai Rd? There was one lady who seemed to be in pretty serious condition?

Did a 4:35, after aiming for 4:30. So pretty chuffed cos the wind was quite hectic. I was on my mtb with knobblies, next year might gun for a sub 4 on a road bike.

I did have the pleasure of finishing quite soon after Arianne Kleynhans, only she was finishing her second lap of the course.

3:01:40 odd according to Garmin. That headwind finish was too much for the legs and the sub3. Congrats to D batch and one C batch rider for the concerted effort after Suiker. Hit 2:38 at the top and thought that we had a chance!

The peloton was huge going up Smitswinkel but at least there were no freshly dug roadworks to navigate near Simons Town and no crashes (just lots of random braking)

Back next year!

Just after we caught them there was a crash. Then a huge chase for us that was left behind. Funny I saw quite a few E and F riders before the end, but didnt notice many D riders. Group dynamics? Mate thumbs up on that time (but I feel your frustration!). Edited by TALUS

Wind affected me quite a lot. Made my life quite tough today. Hoping for a 4.20, did a 4.40, so not too bummed, but being a little bit bulkier than the average cyclist does make for some scary descents in the wind.
